I think Jersey week is unofficial in Disney's eyes, so there would be no blackouts due to that, but Jersey Week falls on Veteran's day, and pending on their view of pins/discounts on holidays, that might be blacked out for that weekend.
Whats the number to call to check on a PIN?
Thanks.
lol...I just checked my email and I got one today but it is only good thru 6/14 for 30% off.
After talking to my hubby about it, we decided we are going to MVMCPNot sure which day yet, but I am really excited and I know the kids will LOVE it
I was wondering since this is my first time staying onsite.. when should i make room reservations? We are looking to get 2 adjoining rooms (the pirate ones) at CBR (crossing fingers and toes for free dining) ... or if we can get a super great room pin code and then we are looking at AKL or another deluxe
I am making welcome baskets to give to the kiddos when we get checked into the hotel and I am trying to rack my brain for some cute, unique items to put in there.. any suggestions?? I already have plush picked out.. would be for 3.5 yr girl and almost 6 yr boy![]()
Just wanted to give everyone some hope.
We've gotten pins in the past, but it had been a long time since we got one and I was getting really jealous of those getting them now.
Last week, I went on the Disney website, priced out a room at POR, then saved the offer.
Then on Sunday, I got an email from Disney Destinations titled "Disney Resort pics and more, Miller family". It listed the dates, hotel, etc. from the offer I had saved and had a bunch of links to pictures of POR. So at first I thought it was just a reminder email to book the offer I had saved.
But then I noticed that it said "Be sure to mention your PIN:.." with a number. I clicked the book now and priced out some rooms.
It's 30% off values, mods, and deluxes and it is working for our dates, November 2 to 12. So it would appear that there aren't any blackouts, at least for this PIN offer, for Veterans day or Jersey week.
If we were a family of 4 or 5, I'd already be booked, probably at a mod. $138 per night including tax is a great deal. But as a family of 7, needing two rooms, even a value doesn't make much sense. $1600 for 10 nights is more than we would spend for a 4 bedroom house with a pool.
I went back to the Disney site and priced out and saved offers for packages with dining. Maybe they will notice and send me the free dining PIN I need!
I just got a PIN in the mail. 20% off resorts. Its valid for 11/1/12-11/16/16 and 11/24/12-11/30/12. When I called to reserve they gave me 20% off the room so it doesn't seem this saves me anything additional but I may just call and ask.![]()
WOW! Congrats! I just got done re-saving vacation plans to 5 different emails for my family...maybe Mickey will have mercy on me tonight and deliver a PIN!![]()

Mind if we talk about PhotoPass or whatever that thing is called when they take your picture and give you and ID card. Who has tried it, what did you think?

The 30% off only saves about $260 on a value where as the free dining would be over a $1000 savings in my case.
I could see using the 30% on a mod or deluxe and forgoing the dining plan.
OK I'm convinced I'll prepay and save $ on photo pass thank you all for the info. I'll just work it into the budget. Do they take photos at the character meals as well?
Good morning!
Love that! My little guy is 4 as well. He is obsessed with Haunted Mansion and ToT. I guess he likes spooky stuff. He calls HM, the spooky house and ToT, the spooky hotel. He rode ToT twice. He was scared to death on the actual freefall, but afterwards said it was the best hotel ever. We rode HM 7x.i've now made my 4 year old obsessed with DisneyWorld lol Every day he talks about something related to the World, today it was Tower of Horrorthe day before that he called it Tower of Doom......we have a lot of days left before November I don't how he's gonna handle that

I am in Dallas! I actually live in Plano and work in Carrollton, but it is only 20minutes to downtown Dallas for us. I haven't checked out the American Girl store yet (since I have a boy), but my niece has and loves it there at the Galleria! Hope you have a great visit!Good morning all! I guess it's afternoon for some of you! Yesterday I discovered one good thing about me not working right now. I'm always home and not spending much money! A tank of gas lasted me an entire MONTH!! I was able to double my monthly vacation savings amount! I never realized how much I spend on eating out, and buying small things when I'm working. A little here and a little there really add up to a lot! Who knew?!![]()

DD has decided she wants to go on a girls trip for her 7th birthday. She got an American Girl doll for Christmas, and the nearest AG store is in Dallas. I gave her the choice of a birthday party or a trip. She voted for the a trip. It will be her first plane ride, and she's so excited!! I'm happy because I miss Dallas. I used to live there before I got married. And the good news is I think I can do it cheaper than a party!! We have enough airline miles to fly for free. I have friends who live there so we are going to stay with them. I get a rental car discount through my employer. The only other stuff I have to pay for is meals and some spending money. DD's grandparents and aunt and uncles will give her money to spend at the AG store. I'm really looking forward to spending a weekend with DD in Dallas. Anyway, I'm going to plan and book that today.![]()
I love doing the welcome basket thing. Dollar Tree/dollar stores, Target, WalGreen's all have great little disney trinkets. For a girl- anything princess related obviously. Usually they will carry CARS/Toy STory stuff for a boy. I've found cute sunglasses for the sunny FL days, small books or coloring books with colors (for plane or car ride), lanyards, pins, puzzles, balls, plush. Cups or mugs? Snacks, especially disney themed candy or treats? check the clearance/sale on disneystore.com for t-shirts. Target has disney socks in the dollar section often. hairclips for the girl or bows? autograph book and pen? Quarters and pennies to use for pressed penny machines? After talking to my hubby about it, we decided we are going to MVMCPNot sure which day yet, but I am really excited and I know the kids will LOVE it
