I just wanted to pop in to say hi to everyone!! It's been busy weekend, and I'm exhausted. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello!! It's been cold and rainy here. I'm doing great. I'll be doing better if the next two week will just zoom by, then I will be done with school.....for 8 weeks at least.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes Boy, has it been a busy last few days. But at least the ticker moved faster. :thumbsup2 I hope you all have a great day.

A big transcontinental HELLO to all!:)

Like the rest of you, I've been busy with preparations for Christmas. Done with setting up the Christmas tree at my folks' place. Will complete the tree in my home tomorrow.:santa:

Yeah, our tickers have all been moving along nicely! Goes so much faster once we go below 365 days, doesn't it? :woohoo: I wish you all a great week ahead!

Hello all!!
It has been a busy couple of days and thanks to my big mouth it's going to be even busier. I had class this morning and we are working on a group project. I volunteered to finish up the Power Point, which (again thanks to my mouth) I have to figure out how to put a video into. Luckily, DH is good with that kind of stuff and I'll get him to help. Then we found out today that we have to write a paper. We just thought we had to write an outline, the Power Point, and a presentation. Well the others are going to each write their one page part, and I have to edit that and the outline into a paper. Plus, I have another paper to write for my Sci-Fi class after I watch a movie. In addition to a crap ton of other work, and driving my mil to doctor's appt two different days. Just thinking about it makes me want to pull my hair out, and it all has to be done by midnight on Sunday. Luckily though, this week is really it. Once the paper and the Power Point is done, I'm done with that class. Well, we do have to do our presentation next Monday, but another group member is doing that. Then I have my final in my Sci-Fi class next week. After next week, no school for 8 weeks!!! Then I can buckle down and get to planning this trip and figure out when we are actually going.

WOW! It looks like we have all been busy lately. I'm not sure I can fit much more on my December calendar!

@ letthewookiewin - Good luck on your finals. I'm sure you'll do great!!

@ dazennconfused - I may have missed it in an earlier post, but where are you from? (I understand if you don't want to share. I'm kind of funny about that stuff too.)

I still haven't had a chance to call Disney to change our dates, but I'll eventually get to it...maybe on my lunch break tomorrow.

Good night all!!

WOW :goodvibes: I have some reading to do tomorrow :) We are back home.....safe and sound. OMGosh the plane landing and tilted left....saw the ground a little more than I wanted too. Must have been the wind. A little scary though. But the pilot didnt say anything, maybe hes used to it IDK anyway I will update more tomorrow. Im tired:)

Sooo Jealous :( My son's friend (my old co worker ) is in Disney right now for the taping of the Christmas parade. He actually is working there for his internship. Justin Beiber just got done performing! He said it is awesome there for the parade and that the decos are out of this world!

Aw, that must have been fun, but a tad more crowded than I'd like, for sure! I can't WAIT to see the Disney Christmas decorations again!!!! :santa:

We stayed at the WL. We had a room near the otter pond. We couldn't see the MK, but we could see the fireworks pop through the trees. It was so nice at the end of the day to sit on the balcony and watch them. It was a great time to be there. I would love to go during that time again, but we can't since it's during football season.

I wish we could go again then, too, but their break gets shorter and shorter each year and it never coincides with their school's bye week in football (I've got band kids).

I just wanted to pop in to say hi to everyone!! It's been busy weekend, and I'm exhausted. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hope you're doing well, too. Why is it that holiday season is SOOOO exhausting?!

Oh, good gosh! Are you a glutton for punishment? I hope you get through this week with no problems arising and that you REALLY enjoy your 8 weeks off!

Oooh, welcome back!!!! I know you had an awesome time. I can not WAIT to read all about it!!popcorn::

Have a good evening! :cloud9:

been reading a few trip reports......looks like the week I pick is hopefully gonna be just as good for crowds next year! Look'n forward to getting a refurb room at POR too, latest news is hopefully free WIFI there soon! :)

I wish we could go again then, too, but their break gets shorter and shorter each year and it never coincides with their school's bye week in football (I've got band kids).
My oldest is in band right now, but next year he has to pick one. Once I told him about marching, he didn't want to do band. It made me :sad1: . I figured he would make that choice b/c he has been enjoying football more this year than band. There school in the first year breaks the band classes down into individual instruments and when we registered them for school the first day, they put him in the percussion class that he really wanted to be in. Then when he went to class the first day, they found out there were already full. They said that he would be the first person in that class next year, so he my only hold out for a band kid. I was big into band in high school. I really want one of my boys to be in band, but I don't want to force them if they don't want to be. I was in band with too many kids that hated it, but were forced to be there.

Going to be really rainy here tomorrow. Yuck.....
It was cold and rainy again yesterday. At my mom and dad's house about 45 minutes north-west of us, they had 2 inches of snow by mid-morning. We didn't get any snow until last night and it only dusted the tops of cars and such. I would still rather it be cold and wet than have 100+ F temps with high humidity and red ozone alerts.

Thanks, I hope so too. It looks like it's going to get much harder before the end. My mom just called and told me that my 94 yr old great Aunt isn't expected to live out the week.

ThreeAngels,

I live in Asia. Toooooooo far from WDW!!

Well, now I'm intrigued....what country do you live in? Are you from there?

Ha, ha, I live in Georgia, USA and I'M toooooooo far from WDW!!!!:lmao: To make it worse, my DH is trying VERY hard to get me to move to FL:eek: Really, that would be my dream come true, but I don't feel like I can do that to my kids at their ages and I really love my job....... ONE day.....

Glad you seem to have picked a good week to be there. Yes, I can NOT wait to get into a refurbed room at POR!!!:woohoo: I did not hear about the free WIFI possibility. Thanks for the info and keeping my fingers crossed.

At our school, there are 3 boys that play football AND march in the half-time shows! They just march in their football uniforms and get no halftime break. Talk about commitment! (not my kids) My boys were in jazz band and all that. DS20 lived for it. DS16 this year decided not to do jazz. (and I didn't let on that it BROKE my heart!) He was never as into band as older DS and I think the band directors hold that against him a bit. He said he'll still do concert and marching band because he likes them, but nothing else. He's been an officer for 2 years now, but doesn't want to next year. Peyton just had her very first band concert tonight. It was honestly the best 6th grade concert I've ever heard (sometimes they can make your ears bleed!!) :rotfl: She's been waiting her "whole life" to be in band, so she was soooo excited. Yeah, not good to be a kid forced to be in band. That's not good for anyone. (I was big into band, too, so I'm thrilled my kids are into it, too.)

YUCK to your cold and snow. I couldn't believe the snow in Albequerque (I have NO ideas how to spell that!:upsidedow ) I totally agree with you though, preferring it to hot/humid weather. You can always put on more clothes, but you can only take so much off without being embarrassed or disgusting someone!:lmao: And then, you're STILL hot.....

:hug:Aww, I'm sorry about your great aunt. She'll be in a better place, but it's so hard to lose loved ones. I hope she rebounds or passes peacefully.

Hope you all have a great night! I'll be falling asleep to heavy rain on the roof. I love that! (esp. since there's no thunder and lightning!)

Just wanted to say hi to all of my November friends! I'm working my butt off at the moment and getting adjusted to my two new jobs. Once things settle down, I hope to be around more. Happy Planning!

The high school that I went to boys were able to do both. My DH was able to do both until his Senior year and then he had to pick one or the other for football season. He was able to be in concert band his Senior year though. What do your kids play? My oldest plays trombone. The youngest is thinking about doing sax if he can't get into percussion for whatever reason. When I was in high school I played the flute, tenor sax, and was on the cymbal line in the percussion.

Thanks, and yes you are right she will be. She has taken herself off her oxygen b/c she says she's just tired and ready. Her hubby died a few years ago and had Alzheimer's, so the last ten or so years have been very hard on her. I just think it's making my grandmother lose her mind. Once my great aunt goes, she will be the last of her siblings alive.

Hello!! Wow, two jobs, that has to be hard. My sil did that for a little while and it was very tough on her. Especially on Friday/ Saturdays where she would go into work at one job at 8 AM, stay until 5 PM, drive to her other job, take an hour nap in her car, check into job number 2 at 7 PM, and then work until 5 or 6 AM.

Hi all! Please let me know if I already asked this question: I want to go next year in November, so which would be best: the week before Thanksgiving or the week after? We also want to be able to use the pool and have warm weather. TIA!

Ok I havent forgotten about you guys....just so much going on right now. Im sorry :( I need to load my pics and do a TR from my trip but no time :(

I will say this..... I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN GO DOWN TO DISNEY DURING POP WARNER WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mommyof3princess27,
I know exactly what you mean!!! The kids and their 'adult' chaperones were all trouble with a capital T. We were at AS Music in 09 during Pop Warner week and it was so bad!!! So I do not plan on staying at AS Music in 2012. Changing to either Movies or the new Art of Animation. Hopefully, AoA will have their standard rooms available then!

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes It seems like the closer we get to Christmas. The busier I get. I do hope everything is going well for all of you. :grouphug:

mommyof3...... Have you posted about your trip yet? I guess i need to read back and check. I hope you and your hubby did have a fantastic time.

Nope I have not had any time! I havent even unpacked! I should have taken another day off. I will try to get to it today. I should be able to.

The resort wasnt bad with Pop Warner kids, it was the parks! It was like 14 kids to one adult-maybe more adults but no one was telling them how to behave! I had a cheerleader hit me in the face doing some dance on the way to the bus...didnt even say sorry just said watch where you are going :headache: :snooty: really? OMG! I teach my kids manners!

I didn't encounter trouble with the PW crowd in the parks. It was only at the resort. Horrible behaviour from both the kids and the adults. Screaming and being loud waaaayy into the night (around midnight), slamming doors, running/stomping along corridor, etc. I called reception, but nothing was done. Sigh. I love WDW, but I would never want to stay at a resort with the PW crowds ever again.

I hope you were not too badly injured! Yeah, the adults with them were basically useless.
