Smileybug & mommyof3princess27,

Disney has this discount game down to an art! They definitely know how to get us hooked. And obsessed.

FD is a good deal. There is no doubt about it. But in 09, I didn't like that we had to plan our days around our ADRs. And there was just so much food!!! It was almost insane! We're just not used to that. I guess we don't have any way of knowing till Disney finally releases info on their special offers. Whichever way we look at it, I think the most sensible thing to do is to go with what's practical for those involved. And at this time, we don't have any idea what that might be! So essentially, I'm obsessing over nothing. Go figure...

You won't believe this, but I've sort of done up our possible touring schedule. Just to give you an idea of the extent of my obsession. And the park hours won't even be available till several months down the road. I call it a tentative plan. Plus, I even have possible restaurants choices figured out too. I need help I tell ya. Our trip isn't till Nov 2012! This may be getting out of hand!

;) I do too dont worry...I figured out where we wanna eat based on which park we wanna do that day. I even have alternates figured out! WE ALL NEED HELP...and thats why we come here-to find other ppl like us :lmao:

Thats funny...I never though of it that way but you are right. For our short trip in Dec, DH was offered a PIN for 30% a mod or 35% delux...crunched the numbers and it worked out that FD WAS $200 cheaper than the room only code. I am just hoping for FD next NOV. If we are affered FD and its offered for the time we are staying, we dont have to cut a day but if it starts on the sunday, we have to cut that day. I want an 8 day vacation at WDW! But that one day isnt worth the value of FD, which would save my GG group a ton of $$ cuz all the rooms are filled to the fullest with ppl. Guess its a waiting game and hoping for some Disney :wizard: or :tinker:

As of right now, we will be paying oop for T-Rex. I know its not on the DDP but I think our schedule is starting to 'click' now for me. I just need to figure out which day MVMCP will fit. DO we do it on the MK day? or do we do it on the last night we are there which also happens to be a MK day? Or on the Water park day? I think I am leaning towards our last night there...we can sleep in a little go to MK and do our fav rides, and go to 1900 PF for dinner then to the MVMCP. But then I stat thinking about Park Hoppers and what not. But with the ages of the children, I think one park a day is all they can handle lol

I really do suggest have a restful morning on your MVMCP night.

We prefer to eat in the park we are visiting. Especially this time of year with shortened park hours. The sit down meals can take awhile sometime.

I was thinking about that but the trouble is we dont have any days with down time scheduled! Back to the drawing board I think.

Us too. Our fav for MK is Crystal Palace but that may be because I love Winnie the Pooh :cloud9:

Happy Sunday everyone!!! Hope everyone has a great day! I myself am taking trip to Michaels!

Wonder why you are going to Michael's?

Do you see our tickers? (We must use the same site) I don't. Actually they have been missing for a couple of days now. AGAIN. I think I'm just gonna be tickerless. :guilty:

I hope you are right. :goodvibes I'm tired of this. I still don't see your though.

Hmmm I dont know then cuz I see mine! So back from Michaels-man i get into trouble at that store! Got some paper so I can work on my planners!

I was wondering if free dining comes back the second week of Nov 2012,because veterans day is in that week in 2012

Hey and Welcome!!

Right now none of us know about free dining for Nov. 2012. We are all hoping that it happens though. I have free dining for this years trip. :thumbsup2

But who is counting....right.

Ha ha! I'm ALWAYS counting! My name tag ticker was off yesterday, but I guess it's fixed itself. Good thing 'cuz it aggravated me!

419 days and 14 hours until WDW!

This weekend we have a mini trip though. My parents are watching the kids and my husband and I are headed to Baltimore's Inner Harbor for the weekend. My sis and her DH are going as well. We are celebrating our b-days (sis has a 9/11 b-day and I'm 9/16 but we have a wedding to attend that night). It will be nice to have an adults only night. Wish it were Disney but I will take what I can get;)

Have a good weekend everyone!

That sounds fun!:cool1: My DH and I had a parents-only night last night for our 22nd anniversary (which was actually Friday), but we just went to Texas Roadhouse.

Not to change the subject BUT I think this board is chattier than other 2012 months lol

I love that this board is so chatty! My DH likes that I have found other people as crazy as I am! :rotfl:

Is that okay?

I'm sitting here in the middle of planning books, a binder I'm working on and my computer. Hubby is laughing at me. :confused3

My DH just shakes his head at me a lot. :upsidedow

Yes cuz I am too!!! :lmao:

YAY! The insurance covered EVERY last thing!!!!! I am so happy!!!! :worship: Now I can really get into the disney planning mood or mode whichever one lol pirate:

Yayyyy! That's terrific news.

Hi all. I hope everyone is having a good day.:) I've been thinking about our next trip to WDW. Then again, when do I NOT think about our next trip to WDW?! Thinking about it has become a hobby of mine. I wonder how that happened? :rotfl:

Anyhoos, I'm quite confident that there will be a discount of some sort (FD or room discount) which we can all use during our travel period. But here's what has been bothering me... I doubt that Disney will offer a room discount of more than 20% for the value resorts. FD is great, but we aren't able to put away much food. Food portions at WDW are HUGE! And it seems that the cost of some of the character dining buffets have gone up.Think I read about it somewhere here on disboards. So, I've been crunching imaginary numbers and comparing them with different imaginary discount possibilities. And here's what I concluded...

Assuming that a 20% discount is offered for the values, we will be paying approximately the same amount if we decided to go with FD and upgrade from CS Dining Plan to a regular Dining Plan. Now, if we should decide against the upgrade, and also choose to have a few table service meals and pay OOP, we would still be paying about the same amount. Isn't that a hoot? Anyway I try to tweak it, it comes to the approximately the same amount!! Whether it's a 20% room discount plus the OOP amount we'll be spending on all our meals or FD with and upgrade of dining plan or FD with no upgrade but some OOP for table service meals! So to make a long story short, I'm still just as confused as before. Maybe even more so now. Am I the only crazy one here with this problem??

You're definitely not the only crazy one here! :lmao: It gets confusing and I tend to obsess over it.

Believe me you are not alone. I'm just trying to decide if I want to admit to the crazy part. :rotfl:

You can admit it HERE. :rotfl2:

I want an 8-day vacation at WDW sooooo bad, but DH is just not being talked into the extra day. I know we do need a day of rest before jumping back into life afterward, though....

Hope you're all having a good Sunday. Darn that the weekends nearly over already. Anyone watch 9/11 coverage earlier. It was so touching. I just feel like I HAVE to get up there and see that memorial in person.....

Count me in! We'll be arriving Nov 24th 2012, but can adjust our arrival date if it means getting a better deal.
