The Incredibles was amazing! We loved it. Pixar outdid themselves.

Can't wait for next year!!!! Miss all my old cruise buddies.

Just one more year. YIPPEEE!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

HEY EVERYONE - LET'S CELEBRATE
:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

ONLY ONE YEAR TO GO

IT'S BEEN ALONG WAIT FOR SOME OF US

BUT WHO'S COUNTING

Kennyk

We celebrated at my house!! My kids thought I was a total Disney-dork but who cares!! I made a celebratory dinner, served by course cruise style

appetizer - shrimp pizza
entree -- fettucine with roasted vegetable sauce
dessert - strawberry cheesecake tarts
drinks -- smoothies for DDs, Bahama Mama wine cooler for DH and Reisling for me

special table setting with vibrant colored napkins, our 'good' dishes and an ocean waves Yankee candle burning!

ahhhhhhhhhh...................................we had a great dinner talking about "next year we'll be......" :)

Its official! I just put down our deposit for this cruise!

We were on the "4" - day Wonder hurricane cruise in September whch became more like a 2-1/2 day. Major bummer and we didn't get to go to CC. I think that was the hugest disappointment of all.

While onboard, I made a decision to rebook another cruise, especially since we had received 40% refund on the current one.

As soon as we returned home, I booked a May 2005 cruise as rates seemed good then. However, we weren't home for very long before we started to experience the fallout from my 4 kids missing 5 days of school for the 9/27 cruise. So I decided to cancel the May cruise rather than take them out again for so many days in the same school year.

Still having the cruise urge, I began to investigate Carnival, RCL and other lines, but that CC thing was still getting me.

I would have booked a 7-night Magic cruise over the summer, but there weren't any -- since the Magic is on the west coast all summer. That was a big bummer!

So the weeks went by and all of a sudden its November --- and I'm thinking - hey, the kids have only 2 days of school during Thanksgiving week --- or we could perhaps book a cruise for 2005 from 12/17 -24.

But the thought of returning home on Christmas Eve -- since Christmas is a BIG holiday for me -- didn't appeal.

Here is what clinched my decision for the Thanksgiving cruise ---

TWO DAYS AT CC!! So just in case one of the days we are not able to dock there (due to weather or ??) we will still have the other day. I don't think I could bear going on a Disney cruise again and missing CC again!

The other thing is that being a BIG Christmas fan and a BIG Disney fan -- picturing the Disney Magic decorated for Christmas -- wow! how cool!

So I booked!

I haven't told the family yet, will probably come up with some creative way to wrap it up as a Christmas gift this year :-)

Looking forward to getting to know everyone --

Kris

Congrats Kris and welcome aboard! I can't wait either.

Oh Mom, You and I will get along great! I make a Disney dinner before each of our trips, just to get in the mood. Maybe I will do one for our "year to go" mark. Maybe all Palos' recipes. Yummy.

HI to all and have a great weekend.

I booked this cruise two weeks ago as an anniversary surprise for my husband. The more I thought about it, the more I was certain he wouldn't want to go. Yesterday I gave him seven tags with clues and made him guess what his present was (a wooden 7, a turkey sticker, a ship's wheel charm, a mickey icon sticker, etc. ). When he finally guessed (first guess was a week at Caribbean Beach Resort) he thought a cruise was a great idea. Hurray!

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

:) Michele

Just wondering if anyone can make a spreadsheet thing with everyone's info on it?

Kris

I wouldn't mind doing it but I'm new here and I don't know if there is someone else who usually takes the initiative... don't want to overstep :)

Hi everyone, Especially our new cruises.

As you can tell I was the one who started this Thread.

Welcome aboard everyone. As you will find out there is a number of us who have cruised together before and are looking forward to our renewed aquaintances.

As far as a spread sheet, I have already started one with our return cruises on it.

As soon as the Christmas/New Year holidays are over I will get down to getting everyones info who wants to be listed and complete the spread sheet.

This is a very busy season for me so there is not much time that I sit in front of my computer.

Welcome again everyone.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Everyone,

May it be a fun filled day, and just think, next year we'll all be on that "Magical" cruise ship enjoying this festive holiday.

May all of you have a "magical" day.

Kennyk

Side note for Melissa and any other DVC members.

Don't know if you know yet, but as of Jan 2nd, 2005. Annual Passes will be discounted as DVC members. Go to the DVC Boards for more info.

My DH (Chuck), My DS (Mason-age 5) and I (Lisa) just got off the Disney Magic yesterday. While on board, a bunch of Disers (including our family) rebooked for next thanksgiving!! It was a great group of people on board!! We enjoyed each others company and spent a lot of time together during the cruise. We are all looking forward to meeting y'all who have been participating on this thread.

The weather was perfect all week--sunny skies and highs near 80 degrees. The double stop at CC was great!! The ship was decorated for the holidays--including pictures w/ Pilgrim Mickey and Minnie. CC was decorated for the 2nd stop--including disney snowmen.

If any of you have any questions, please let me know.

Welcome aboard ICEMANPAD (Chuck & Family)

As you can see, Our group for next Thanksgiving is growing. We also have a group that have sailed before, (last Easter) together on this cruise.

After the Hoildays are over we'll be getting a spread sheet together showing all of us DIS'ers on it and any other items of importance, Dining time, Cabin number, Spouses and childrens names w/ages. And of course where we're from.

Enjoy the rest of the Holiday weekend and again welcome aboard.

Hello all!
Well,
what do i say
We are also part of the Magic Thanksgiving Week cruisers of '04.
Yes, that was this past Saturday! The bags are still packed and i want to go Back.

In the days to come, we(Thanksgiving 2004 Cruisers) will let you know what made our trip so special!
We will give you a clue. It was meeting new friends and experiencing the MAGIC that only the MOUSE has to offer.
So here's to you and our third magic cruise to come!

I am so excited to be part of this great group! We are under one year now -- let's hope it flies!

Kris

Are there any plans to start a website? We had one for this past cruise and it was very helpful getting to know one another. We have access to a free website that we can set up (but probably not until the Christmas holidays when ds16 is out of school--he is our computer guru!)

Just let us know. . . and as a tribute to Willie Miller. . .

This will be the best Magic cruise ever! :boat:

HOWDY! This is a warning to you guys that WILLIE MILLER is now "in the house" onboard this thread! Lock the doors. Hide the women and small children. Cover your ears if you are easily offended!
Just kidding! I am also known as "Another one of the guys that could not keep up with Lampskies" This is in regards to the Miller Lite area.

We also just returned from the 2004 Turkey Day Cruise. It was THE BEST MAGIC CRUISE OF 2004!
How can he say that? you may ask. Well, you may just have to keep reading this thread in the coming months to find out! For starters, we had the absolute best weather and smoothest waters of any sailing in 2004. A second hint. The DIS Board Members were absolutely great. John and Julie(5J's)Chuck and Lisa(Ice)Teresa and Mark(Silver) are some of the best folks you could want to meet. They are great fun, as you will find out.

Now, the BEST MAGIC SAILING OF 2005 WILL BE..................................the November 19 TURKEY DAY CRUISE!!!! The reason why? Because you guys already seem to have a great thread going, and the 2004 Turkey Day Gang is now onboard also.
I have not yet read all of the thread yet, but I will try.
My family was pretty sad to be back home today. But I am excited because I know we will be sailing again in less that a year. It will fly by.

It looks like we have 4 families so far from the 2004 Turkey Day Gang returning for Thanksgiving. Like it or not, this thread will be cooking for the next year!

And one more note to those who may be lurking, and only reading this thread. JOIN IN AND HAVE FUN!

Willie
DW-Kelli, DD Hayley, DD Erin

P.S. I finally learned where the "WOO-HOO" comes from!

Whoo Hoo!! Lots of new families. What an amazing cruise this will be. Can't wait to meet ya.
