Its official! I just put down our deposit for this cruise!
We were on the "4" - day Wonder hurricane cruise in September whch became more like a 2-1/2 day. Major bummer and we didn't get to go to CC. I think that was the hugest disappointment of all.
While onboard, I made a decision to rebook another cruise, especially since we had received 40% refund on the current one.
As soon as we returned home, I booked a May 2005 cruise as rates seemed good then. However, we weren't home for very long before we started to experience the fallout from my 4 kids missing 5 days of school for the 9/27 cruise. So I decided to cancel the May cruise rather than take them out again for so many days in the same school year.
Still having the cruise urge, I began to investigate Carnival, RCL and other lines, but that CC thing was still getting me.
I would have booked a 7-night Magic cruise over the summer, but there weren't any -- since the Magic is on the west coast all summer. That was a big bummer!
So the weeks went by and all of a sudden its November --- and I'm thinking - hey, the kids have only 2 days of school during Thanksgiving week --- or we could perhaps book a cruise for 2005 from 12/17 -24.
But the thought of returning home on Christmas Eve -- since Christmas is a BIG holiday for me -- didn't appeal.
Here is what clinched my decision for the Thanksgiving cruise ---
TWO DAYS AT CC!! So just in case one of the days we are not able to dock there (due to weather or ??) we will still have the other day. I don't think I could bear going on a
Disney cruise again and missing CC again!
The other thing is that being a BIG Christmas fan and a BIG Disney fan -- picturing the Disney Magic decorated for Christmas -- wow! how cool!
So I booked!
I haven't told the family yet, will probably come up with some creative way to wrap it up as a Christmas gift this year
Looking forward to getting to know everyone --
Kris
