Today's Topic (Wed, 3/25) - 3 red things you're grateful for

Happy Hump Day Everyone

From yesterday…..

#1 - REGULAR BLACK COFFEE - I can’t start my day without it, so I’m always grateful for it

#2 - TAP WATER / OUR LAKE MICHIGAN WATER- I don’t need any fancy water. If I don’t drink my normal amount of water I get a horrible headache, which reminds me how grateful I am for water.

#3 - COW’S MILK - I’m a regular milk drinker - I love it. 1% is the one I normally buy and I’m grateful for it when it’s in my cereal and when I make my protein shake with it after I workout.

Adding on with today’s topic, which is easy, since red is my most favorite color.

#1 - MY RED ROBES - I have a winter one and a summer one. Both are old and really comfortable. My DH said on Sunday he should buy me a new summer one for Mother’s Day and I told him - please don’t, I’ll just return it, because I love the one I have.

#2 - MY RED PANTS & RED CAPRIS - They aren’t very easy to find, so when I find ones that fit well, I buy 2 of each. I wear them regularly, but not to regularly because red fades fast when washed to often.

#3 - MY RED LIGHT WEIGHT MICKEY MOUSE WDW JACKET - I get so many compliments on this jacket, which is easily 25 years old or older now. I’m looking forward to hopefully wearing it again soon once the temperature around here gets warmer.

I have a favorite red sweater with silver 'beads' and red sequins around the neck/bodice. I wear it for Christmas, Valentine's Day, and "fancy" events.

Blood - i’m grateful for blood try losing some and you’ll find out how grateful you are to have it been there done that don’t wanna have that happen again
Quite surprised to find out you can’t lose a whole lot of that before you end up having a whole lot of life serious problems

Red is my favorite color I’m grateful for every red car I’ve ever had and I’ve had a bunch

An nice bloody I like my steaks rare
Literally flick a lighter underneath them for a couple seconds and put them on a plate
I’m good to go

Our little red wagon full of little kids and pumpkins.

I have a red robe that DH got me that is super thick and warm that love in the winter.

The tractor. Without it life would be so much harder. It was well worth the expense with the amount of work it does and projects it helps DH do with much less effort and more speed.

Another vote for blood! So glad to be alive!

Red Glycerins - I did a trio of Alice in Wonderland themed costumes when I ran at WDW in early 2020. My half marathon costume was "painting the roses red." I am a Glycerin girl and the model is not known for the flashiest colors. Still, I've learned over the years that Brooks often puts out special limited edition colors throughout the model year. Just when I thought I was going to have to settle for basic black or white, they released red.

Hair Dye - While I'm technically a brunette (a graying one), I do have a bit of red in my natural undertones. Back in the early days of dyeing my hair, I leaned into that red and found out that it brings out the green in my eyes. Over the years, my eyes changed from milk chocolate brown to hazel. My hazel pulls a lot of green which really pops if my hair is red. My hair is currently a deep auburn and just loving how it makes my eyes look olive green.

Running lights - I have one that's got two red modes, like a bicycle light. I also have my light up vest. It looks like I'm wearing bands of neon lights. It changes colors but it switches to all red if the batteries are going... which is a great safety warning on a safety device. Recently, I noticed some color changing LEDs I lit up for Christmas do the same. Like they cycle to red when they get to end of life before fully dying.

Another vote for blood!

Oooh, blood is a very good answer! - I received platelets when I had my C-section years ago, so I am always grateful to people who give blood.

My Radio Flyer red wagon -- I use it often to transport things from my house across the street to my daughter's house
Apples -- I eat an apple every day, always an Envy
Tomatoes -- so many yummy dishes start with tomatoes

Afternoon all,

1. Electric blanket - I have a red checked electric blanket that I pretty much live with over the winter months.

2. Red fruits - strawberries, raspberries and cherries are my favourite fruits and fruity flavours.

3. Red lipstick - not something I wear every day but do love a bit of red lipstick when going out somewhere nice.

Today's Topic - 3 things you're grateful for about your favorite time of day

I don’t know what my favorite time of the day is??? I’ve really never given it any thought
I know it’s not the time I get up that it’s definitely not my favorite time of the day because that’s not controlled by me is controlled by my job
But I’m grateful I have a job because it’s required because I’m not independently wealthy
I don’t have a set time that I eat so I guess I could be grateful that I can eat whenever I want at any time so I’m grateful for that
I don’t have a certain bedtime I go to bed whenever I feel like it so I’m grateful for that which sometimes does not work out well from when I have to get up
Most of my time is kind of ruled by my pets I have to be mindful of their schedule and their needs because they’re not on my schedule
I will say when the weather is nice I do enjoy sitting outside right before it gets dark it’s usually quiet a lot of the little animals are outside and it’s seriously really nice to sit outside watch the bats flying around
I’m very grateful I get to work from home most days and my time is my time to spend it how I see fit I’m extremely grateful for that

I am always up before dawn -- usually around 4:30. This is my favorite time of day because:
The house is quiet and I can drink my coffee and read the news undisturbed;
I can look out my window and watch the sky turn from dark to light as the sun rises, reminding me that God is faithful;
I can read my Bible and talk to Jesus without interruption.

Early morning is my very favorite time of day. New beginning and by my faith the truth of the hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness. New opportunity I pray to make a kind difference in faith and work toward recovery.
