Schools are closed here today, so it is a work day at home. Doing the laundry, vacuuming, and getting the Christmas and Thanksgiving decorations out. Also getting haircuts and nails done (women folk, not me), and getting the oil changed in the vehicles. Therefore I am checking up on the posts when I get the chance.

Who else is bring Thanksgiving decorations for their staterooms? I have a bunch of Disney Thanksgiving beannies I'm bringing plus some other stuff to put around.

Question about stamps - you have to buy Bahama and Grand Cayman stamps there for the postcards (Castaway Cay and Hell). I also assume you have to buy Mexican postage for Costa Maya. Can you mail postcards from the ship using American postage? Can you buy American stamps on the ship, or bring your own? Where do you buy Bahama, GC and Mexican stamps?

Lampy should know all that....he's got a head that's full of info. like a computer....with all that alcohol, you would think it would block your brain but not Lampy. :goodvibes

Lampy, what stateroom #'s did you get?

Andrew,
I look forward to arriving at the terminal about 10:00 am, boarding early, and having first shot at those boiled shrimp on the buffet. I figure about 12:30 or so, they will run out. That is about when Lampy will be boarding... Poor Lampy. No shrimp this year, Bro.

Hey, anybody else doing Universal on Friday? I know, I know, Universal is "The Dark Side".

Willie

Willie, DDs are in 6019 and they are all sold out of our cat. 8....as expected.....looks like we are in a cat. 5!! That's all that is left!! Still GTY for outr 8/7/6/5/3? :rotfl2:

First thing I will do is stop in the Atrium and say to myself, "Self, you are finally here. :cool1: "

Then I will do the mad rush to get a Palo's dinner and tea reservation.

Then off to the buffet. After my daughter gets to the shrimp and crab legs, there won't be anything left.

Then I will say to myself, "Self, you are finally here. :cool1: " (yes, I onpurposedly repeated myself. I plan to say that a lot during the week.)

In one week and 3 hours (as long as the buses and day care vans aren't late picking up kids), we'll be heading for Floriday. And in 8 days we'll be visiting on the Magic!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Paul, I actually thought I would say the same thing, but kind of tough to do with a drink to your lips washing down one of those jumbo shrimps.......

Does your DW know how to loosen up a bit? That's why I go to DCL...to loosen up a bit so I can have some FUN!!

Julia ::MinnieMo

No, sorry, very rigid. No sense of humor. You know, people always are amazed at how I have put up with her all these years. Remember, this is just between us.

Lossen up? Julia, looks like we have another person that will be waist deep at CC "loosening up"?

Willie- Are you staying at one of the Universal hotels? That front of the line perk is great! We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel last year-very nice. You do know that they have a Pat O'Briens and a Margaritaville there at CityWalk, right? We are staying home until early Sat. AM, but Y'all have fun!

We are at HRH for Thursday and Friday nites. Glad to hear it is so nice. We have been to Universal a few times, so we figure with the front of line thing, we should be able to hit both parks on one day. Then head for Margaritaville that evening.

You are absolutely right about that! With your room key, you can easily get through both parks in a day. I think my kids rode the Hulk four or five times in a row. Once was plenty for me. I'm not sure if you heard about this, but my kids loved the Dive In movie that they had at the pool at the Hard Rock. They have speakers that work underwater, so you can hear the movie even when you are swimming. During the day, they play music that you can hear in the pool. The pool is really nice there at the hotel-make sure you take advantage of that. I know that you have been to the Margaritaville in New Orleans, have you been to the one in Key West? When I took the kids there this past December they could not believe how small it was compared to that monster they have there in Orlando. Have Fun!

Lampy- I am not sure what you mean by this, but I would bet that the DW would get loosened up with the old shot ski!

Andrew,

I have been to Margaritaville Orlando,(thrice)Las Vegas(twice)and New Orleans. But never to Key West. And I missed out on the Cancun one when I was there in September. I guess you could say I'm sort of a Parrot Head.
But man, those rum drinks there are so good.
