Did anyone watch the Survivor premiere last night? So far, I'm liking the Yellow team. I have a couple of players from each team that I like, but that could change as the season goes along.

I like the Yellow team, too. Not upset about who went home. So far, I like everybody, pretty much--that's likely to change a few episodes in.

One thing that really stood out to me was how much complaining everyone is doing. Already! You're just getting started!

Also, the one older guy--I like him, I think he can go far, but his dreads drive me crazy. All I could think about was how do you clean those out after that mud challenge.

I like the red and yellow teams. I didn't discount the blue team until I felt like there was an abundance of smug coming from them. I'm okay with the person who got voted off being the choice.

I watched last night. I think I’m watching this show out of habit, at this point. It’s barely recognizable as the original show.

So far I don’t really like or really dislike any of the teams or players. :surfweb:

Waiting for the dreadlocks to catch on fire and love the ship wheel/puzzle search ... this segment laid down the foundation that there are a lot of broken people this episode and secrets

Immunity challenge was really different and involved every strength possible and the snake offered artistic variety... and for sure spitting to clear mud from team eyes

I have a pool I'm part of so I have some money on this season. It makes it even more fun to watch. I have Jason and Kristina as my picks (assigned - probably not who I would have chosen).

They should have gotten rid of Annie. She won't be loyal long term.

No real favorites yet. But I read somewhere else something someone said and I agree. Getting Parvati vibes from Savannah on red tribe. A little full of herself when she said something about how good she is with words and can be persuasive. Um you read from a teleprompter

Ah, yes, the reporter, I think? She seemed to have a high opinion of herself.

I need another episode to get a real feel on this season. One thing I've wondered about is is it as important these days to lie about one's occupation when it's that you're successful. Like for quite a while yeah you'd be targeted as would you really need the money but over the years especially since the pandemic that part doesn't seem as big of a thing, previous survivor winner yes, but successful not as much at least to me. What came to mind was the producer lying about his occupation, making it like he was somewhat successful but more like he lower man on the totem pole. I get lying when you feel people would perceive you to be untrustworthy or too strategic though.

I'm going to keep my eye out on the player who is out there with a ton of phobias and lack of outdoor interest, will she be the annoying one or the one that takes it as a way to do what she's uncomfortable with for the experience and for the team play.

While I think it's not really against the rules for that particular immunity challenge when the one player just put the puzzle pieces over the completed puzzle immediately at the first chance they have to do something on their own that makes it seem like that's how they've gotten through life. I know players here and there glance at other player's stuff or other team's stuff but right off the bat that doesn't scream strategy but rather inability to do something on your own and looking for any way for someone else to do it for you in other words skate by. I'll watch out for that one as well to see if they excel on their own or flounder unless someone else is there to give them the answers.
