we only booked a couple of weeks ago. We just moved this summer so we didn't take a vacation and DH has been commuting back and for to CA so it's been tough on all. We are sooooooooooooo looking forward to this trip.

Fighting kids....glad to hear I'm not the only one! You wouldn't think an almost 9yo boy would have anything to fight with a 3yo girl about but they do, constantly!!! I am most looking forward to having some alone time with my honey  and laying by the pool with book and a drink while my kids happily play....ahhhhh, not much longer!

BTW, how much are the drinks roughly?!?!? Has anyone done the martini tasting?? I read about it on another thread and can't wait to do it!!!

I have company coming Wed-Mon so I don't have many free days to get shopping and packing done. I know I'll be stressing next week for sure!

M ygoal is to be at 3000 posts and get this thread into the 4000's....Anyone remember their "bar bill" from last year.....I think I won!!!

Ron:
Is that bar bill for real????? :confused3 Thats a good effort. Those drinks must have been going down like an electric window. :rotfl2:
Bill

:rotfl2: @ Laurie......Willie aint so shabby either.....I've been asked, "don't you ever get hung over?"....to that I respond "a hangover is only withdrawls, keep drinking and NEVER have a hangover!" :rotfl2:
Ya know this IS your first sailing with me/us.....I think Willie and John though I was kidding......let's party!!!

Plus, I have to keep my "brain" sharp for my job......You HAVE heard of the "buffalo theory?" Right?

Hey Bill....that WAS page 3!! And no, some of it was tips and pics, but for the most part.......... :drinking1

Oh MY - I just made a big mistake by looking at the Food thread. All those Pictures.
Made my salad look really wimpy. Guess I'll have to try walking the deck more.

I'm making Door signs and binging them - We didn't have any trouble in the past.

I will usually have have one of the drink of the day, just because its a moral imperative even though I'm not fond of coconut.

But I'm a wino at heart.

Bingo - These games are short and fun - But you can still win something. Warning they are a little pricey.

BUt Hey It's better in the Bahamas - Right?

Reminds me of my wedding bill, the bar tab beat the food cost! :rotfl2:

Yogamomme....better start posting your "real" name otherwise you're going to be called that ALL week......Just ask "Momsgoofy". She figured out she should have at the 80's party at about 1 a.m. when I yelled across the dance floor....."Hey, Momsgoogy!"

Mary, Kim is a "wino" also.....at dinner they have a bottle of "bonfi" it's an Italian rose peddal wine.....a little pricy, but Kim LOVES it!

Best Martinis on the ship are at the bar by the internet cafe.....also mohitos........

Lampskies-What is in mohitos?I am yet to try one.

Mary-Who looks at prices when one is a on cruise? Not me!It is the only vacation I have all year,so fun one must have.I may have to drag myself to a bingo game with you.Yes,it is definitely better in the Bahamas.Does Ken play too?I told dh this weekend I plan to walk the deck more this time around.I love it up there at night.I am going to have dh make the door signs for me this weekend. He has more pc skills then I do.I have to have my drink of the day. That is a must.I love coconut though.I love wine.We are definitely doing the wine tasting again this time around.

Last year after GC myself and Tom (my neighbor that sailed with us) got ditched by DW's and we ended up at the bar by the internet cafe'. Tom ordered at martini and me, yes, a miller lite. The bar tender says "how 'bout I mix you something and if you don't like it you don't pay for it". Deal.....every night before dinner we mixed one up.........

I just realized something. Ron, you ran up that bar bill in addition to bringing two cases of beer on board with you? That is cases, not 12 packs? You are a legend! :worship: :worship:

O.K.....here goes the "buffalo theory".......A heard of Buffalo travels only a fast as the slowest buffalo. Thus, the slow one is more likely to be killed by ather prey....lions, cyotees etc........so as the slower buffalo in the heard get killed off the whole heard naturally moves faster......sooooooooo if alcohol kills brain cells as slower buffalo in the heard it should naturally make the brain move faster.....thus makes you smarter.......right? :drinking1 I'll drink to that!!!!

Just put all the suitcases in the house from the garage before I cam into work........70 degrees here, it just doesn't seem like we are going to sail soon!!! Usually worrying about a snow storm as we fly out!

Lamps
Aren't you guys selling any cars today?
How many times did you post today?
You have Julia and i :rotfl:
And i thought you were Nursing the same can of BEER the whole seven days we were there :teeth:
I bet there will be 4000th post by next sunday at this rate
John :earboy2:

Lampy - did you mean to type Bake you smarter?

I think I like you people more and more each day.

tonya. :earboy2:

Buffalo theory, hmmmm :scratchin You might have something there. I just turned 45 last month, and I drink a lot less than I used to, but it seems like my brain was slowing down. Now, I think I have discovered the problem! I wonder why I never heard of this before. The only problem is that there is no way I can drink 2 cases of beer plus in a week. I was debating whether to bring a second 12 pack. I am such a lightweight.

Maria and Charlie please accept my apologies for disgracing the University of Florida-I don't know how I lost all of those great alcohol consumption skills I learned as a Gator back in the early 80's!

Andrew, at least you're admitting it up front.....John disappeared after dinner on pirate night after of day out on the catamaran :rotfl2: Look out for Willie though.......

Every night for the past 3 years the servers brought me out a "bucket of beers" at dinner........

John, one of my girls here at work who's been with me for the last 5 years saw the look on my face as I walked in at 1. She said "you look like you are in vacation mode"!she slowly backed up the calendar from the 18th to the 14th to see EXACTLY when I would be COMPLETELY useless........ :moped:

Lampy- Have you ever been to New Orleans? I have a friend who might be able to give you a run for the money in the drinking department, but he is about 6' 3" and pushing 300 lbs. He can drink and drink and he is always the same. He built his own portable "kegorator" that he brings to parties. I would swear that he probably puts most of the beer away himself. He never changes, no body can keep up with him. Well, one time we are all in New Orleans for a party. We are drinking hurricanes in Pat O'Brien's. Most people are toast after one. Our friend has enjoyed several. Our friend is suddenly loud and singing along with the piano players. His mouth is all red from the drinks! It is the first and only time that any of us has seen the man affected by his liquor. Too bad he isn't cruising with us.
