I have been spending my Sundays cutting up oak and pine trees. Working my tail off! I know you are probably saying "just hire a tree company". Right now there is a months long waiting list. And I know how to do it, so.... No good deed goes unpunished! I must have done something to my left elbow a few weeks ago, because it has been swelling up and getting fluid build up. Kelli made me go see the Doc, who has had me on huge horse pill antibiotics for 3 weeks. Elbow still looks like Popeye's, so Thursday I am off to Houston to Fondren Ortho Group. Looks like I may have a "septic joint". ( Sounds like a name for a new honky tonk?) I think it means an infection in the joint or bursa sac. (yuk) But Kelli insists that I get it fixed before C-Day!

Anyway, here I was feeling sorry for myself, and a very nice gift arrived from the Lyon family.(TanaL) Changed my mood in a snap. Here are folks that don't even know me, sending a gift. Tana, I sent you a PM. But I want to say thanks to all of you on this board. I would be going nuts around here without this to lighten things up! I tell you being a hurricane victim has made me appreciate when things are "normal".

Willie, are you really blaming "work" on that elbow? :rotfl2: Everytime I called you were blending another mixure to drink :rotfl2: Are you sure that elbow isn't swelled up from all those "curls"? Tell that quack doc of yours that "alcohol" is the best "antibiotic" :drinking1 Lampy NEVER gets sick..... :rotfl2:

Where do you live?? I live in Pasadena but have a home in East Texas. That's where we evacuated to during Rita. Two huge oaks fell across the middle of the house and we were trapped there for two days. Took us 28 hours to go 150 miles home where the electricity had never flickered off. Did not even look like it rained. We have trees everywhere on our property. I guess they will have to rot because we have not been able to find someone to clear the trees....I will never leave for a storm again. I am going to get a raft and a box of wine. That should hold me for a few days. :umbrella:
:drinking1:

:rotfl2: John.....I know it was that "nasty" Mexican beer we had to choke down all afternoon....but it was free!!
Ya know 2 an hour really isn't bad....except for the fact that you start at 9 and close the rockin' D down at 2:30..... :drinking1 18 hours...that's ONLY 36 beers.....can you handle 4 John.... :rotfl2:

I've got the 10 day 06 x-mas sailing booked....I was hoping to rebook onboard and see if it was less $$$$$$.

Wow!! It just took me a while to catch up. It seems like ya'all are already on vacation!! On the drinking subject--my goal is to try the "drink of the day" each day on the cruise. I also want to go to the wine tasting and the martini tasting. Anyone interested???

Willie--I hope that your arm is ok!! We have a beautiful (ha ha) very large stump in our front lawn--Chuck chopped down the tree that landed on his car and left the stump in the ground!!

We are looking forward to enjoying our vacation w/ the rest of you!!!!
