I just found y'all!!! Can't wait to join you in less than 4 weeks. I will be traveling with DH, DS (5), and DD (2). Looking forward to a great week. Thanks for all of the info I have found on these boards!
I have a question dining changes due to thanksgiving... Has anyone received info about the dining rotations? We have palo reserved for Friday night, but my son would never forgive us if we missed pirate night.
Thanks for the info!
Being November, will the water be warm enough to snorkel....?

As Linda asked, if anyone is hitting DLR before/after the cruise and wants to get together for a mini-meet, please post or PM your intentions.
In the past, we've also done some mini-meets or pre-meets at some of the more popular hotels for those coming in early. It looks like we are staying at the DoubleTree in San Pedro the night prior. Anyone else??

9 of our 13 are leaving Roseville after soccer games (last of the season) on that Sat., and are staying in a motel near Magic Mtn. that night, driving the rest of the way in the morning, so won't be available for any early meet/greets. ITHO our DD, SIL and 2 kids will be at DL for 2 days and will meet us at the dock.
We all have a 12:30 check-in time.

We'll be surprising our two kids with a cruise on the Wonder over Thanksgiving. We are so excited, but still not sure when we tell the kids. Driving down from Norcal? The night before? Just not sure, but excited nonetheless. DD & DS 10and under.
Trying to figure out when to hit Palo, is brunch or dinner better? do you know when formal night is?, semi formal? I called DCL yesterday and they told me Monday was formal and Pirate was Friday (which is different than what you were told, they told me it was Fri. because of Thanksgiving). Anyone else heard the same/different?Hi and welcome to the party!
This is an UPDATE to my earlier Post #82 as of today...
Just got off the phone with DCL with some more info (subject to change, of course...only one of our cruises had different rotations than we were told by DCL agents)...
Dining Rotations (RECONFIRMED):
TAPTAPT
APTAPTA
PTAPTAP
(no "doubling up" this time...this is different than the normal MR flow due to T-Day)
So, for example, with PTAPTAP you could get formal night and T-Day in Tritons, and pirate night in Parrot Cay.[/B]
Late Added Note: Our friends from last year were told this as well, but then the ship went with the PTTAPTA "double up" rotation anyway...so ???)
Pirate Night: Pirate Night will be WEDNESDAY for this cruise (normally it's on Thursday) due to Thanksgiving.
Movies:
Brave
Avengers
Odd Life of Timothy Green
People Like Us
Chimpanzee
John Carter
The Muppets
The Help
Cars 2
Pirates of the Caribbean, On Stranger Tides
Wreck It Ralph
Frankenweenie
Decorations (RECONFIRMED):
The Gingerbread House in the Promenade Lounge and the other Christmas decorations (tree, garlands, etc) will be up for Thanksgiving. The characters will also have some holiday costume modifications as well.
Other: FYI, last Thanksgiving, the ship still left Cabo for the night even though they had done Pirate Night the night before. They usually just cruise/hover off shore then just pull back in the next morning.
Hope that helps!

Is it possible to change your palo reservations? Or are you pretty much stuck with what you get?

Question about 2 excursions in Puerto Vallarta if anyone knows. Looking at the Pirate Ship adventure and the Paradise Village beach break. Anyone had experience with either of these? Pros? Cons? I'm wondering what all there is to do on the island with the Pirate Ship excursion. Being November, will the water be warm enough to snorkel or do the other water sports that are listed? If not, what else is there to do besides the water sports? I know Paradise Village has their pools heated if the temps are lower. Advice?
