November 18, 2010 Wonder 3 day

Hello all! We are back from the Mediterranean cruise, and it was FANTASTIC! The ship, the Crew, the ports, the weather...it was all just wonderful. I would love to be on the Transatlantic coming home in September, but, alas, too many other trips planned (to WDW!!) and not enough vacation left this year.

We are already looking into using our Hyatt Vacation Club ownership to book a vacation in Spain or France next spring.

And, we eagerly anticipate being back on a Disney cruise ship this fall, even if it is only for three nights!

Hi Trampslady! Glad you enjoyed the Mediterranean. One of my DDs and family are bringing the Magic home in September.

Glad you're joining us!

Had the urge to bump us up to page 1.

Just about 4.5 months until we board the Wonder.

DH and I are booked for early dinner. Anyone want to link up?

Woohooooo!! Checked the DCL website yesterday and a secret porthole room was available! So I had my TA transfer us from our plain cat 10 room to 5022!

So now that makes twice I've booked an inside room and ended up with a view. Someday I'll have to try an inside room for real. Jan, are you in 5020?

Yes, we're in 5020 for both cruises!!!

What stateroom do you have for the 11/21 cruise? My son and his family are in 5022 for that cruise.

We're a cat 9 GTY for that cruise. It would be great if Disney would let us be the same room for both, but since that's unlikely at least we have a view for both! We do have an affinity for SPH rooms:

11/08 Wonder- booked 5020, loved it
11/09 Magic- booked 5520, upgraded at port to cat 5 :lovestruc
03/10 Magic- booked cat 12 gty, pixie dusted to cat 9
11/10 Wonder- booked cat 10, snagged SPH once it opened up
11/10 Wonder - cat 9 gty (free dvc cruise)
12/11 Wonder 8 night Christmas cruise- SPH 5520!

Looking forward to my FIRST cruise! Where can we sign up for the fish extender exchange???

Welcome ball and glove! I don't think we've had anyone else express interest in a Fish Extender exchange for this cruise. Anyone else interested? I'll do it if we get a few cabins involved. :thumbsup2

Yikes!!! Tomorrow is the 120 day mark and I get to book Palo at midnight! Unfortunately, no brunch on the 3 day cruises, but dinner will do.

Jan

We're at the 120 day mark!!! It can't arrive soon enough. Just booked Palo for Monday at 6pm for my adult gang.

Enjoy the weekend!

Christine - great minds think alike!!! I saw your post on the DCL main board about Sawek. I, too, just requested him as our server. I wanted to request Kerry, but read on that thread that he is a head server. I chose Sawek based on the posts about him.

As usual, DCL advises that my request will be noted but there is no guarantee that we'll get Sawek. If we do get him, I'll have to get him prepared for our 11/21 group!

Jan

We have booked this cruise today!!! Looking forward to our first of many Disney cruises!

Yeah :dance3:

You know, guaranteed, you'll become "addicted" before the end of the cruise and will rebook. Make sure that you rebook on board for the cruise discount and onboard credit. Once you depart the ship, the discount and credit are off the table. And... you can book a future "dummy" date until you firm up a cruise date/ship/itinerary.

We are booked on the November 18th Wonder and I am getting so excited! This will be the entire family's first cruise...it will be me, DH, DD11, DD7(at cruise time) and DS4 plus my in-laws. I have been scouring the boards for tips and info and have become somewhat obsessed. :cheer2:

Welcome to the new cruisers! :cheer2:

As Jan said... You will become addicted! I took my DH (okay: dragged) on our first Disney cruise in November 2008, a 4 night. He loved it so much! We then renewed our wedding vows at Castaway Cay on our 7 night Eastern in 2009...took an adults-only Western in March 2010 for his 40th...have this cruise and the next 3 night as our first back to back... And will spend Christmas 2011 on the Wonder! My DH loves the cruises now more than the parks. Really!

Welcome Cooksonmom and family!!! DCL is very, very addicting, as Christine also mentioned. Being "obsessed" is part of the pre-cruising fun.

Hi everyone,

I have just joined the boards earlier today, though I have been reading them for a week now.

My youngest son and I will be crusing on this ship with my oldest son and his family. They have 3 children. Yes, I am a grandma. I have 4 others and I am hoping my youngest daughter will be able to come and bring their 2 lovely little girls.

My son booked varandah stateroom on level 6 but me and my youngest son are still in limbo. We will be getting an inside stateroom. We figured we could always visit their varandah. ;) We are hoping they will book us at least on the same level.

This will be the first cruise for all of us and we are so excited. We usually do DW, but this year we will be going to Universal for HP World and then the Disney Cruise for something different.

I have started making magnets to do our doors, but not sure if we will be making fish extenders. We shall see if we have time.

I have found reading these boards to be so helpful. I now know where the omlettes are at the breakfast buffet on top deck. hee hee. I hear most ppl don't find them. And well, so many other little secrets and tips.

I look forward to meeting and hearing from my fellow cruising companions.

Party like a Pirate pirate:

I've been pretty quite since booking the cruise....so unlike me!:lmao: It looks like our group may be somewhat small:confused3 I did the fish exchanger last year and we had a bunch or cabins...at least 10-12:) Anyways, we would be interested if there are others. It was a blast! We are a group of 6 (2 adults, 4 older teens staying in the Roy Disney suite). What does everyone else think???

Hi fellow pirates,
I am making magnets for our door and was wanting to make sure I had the date of the pirate party correct. Is the evening of the 20th? If anyone knows, please let me know. I think it's on the last night before we return?
Thanks so much,
Pam pirate:
