Hi everyone - this will be our 4th Disney cruise and I'm starting to get so excited for it. It is myself (42), DH (41), DS (10 1/2) and DD (8). We have always cruised with family friends - same family size and ages but they have an older daughter and younger son. In previous years, our older kids used to hang together but now the two girls hang together even though they are 2 1/2 years apart - on the last cruise they really enjoyed going down to the dining room for lunch on their own - it made them feel so grown-up. My son tends to hang out solo until he make some friends his own age in the pools or playing ping-pong. On our last cruise we laughed because two girls he had made friends with showed up at our stateroom at 11 pm on the last night of the cruise wanting to say goodbye and take a picture with him (he however was fast asleep).
The cruising has now grown to include our friend's brother, his wife, son (2 1/2 years I think) and mother-in-law. We have previously done the Land/Sea package (Nov 2004), the 7 night Eastern (Apr 2006 and Nov 2007) and are now trying out the 7 night Western. Our first two cruises were in one of the secret porthole rooms (when I booked it the first time, I thought we might have a window based upon the deck plan but wasn't sure so we made a point of booking the same room the second time). But for this and the last cruise we decided to go the verandah route and will be up on Deck 6.
We are looking forward to trying out a new set of ports and have booked the Royal Dolphin Swim encounter at Cozumel which sounds like it will be fantastic. OTher than that, I doubt we'll do any planned excursions at the other ports.
