The mad rush is on! Is everyone ready?????? The clock is ticking!

AWOLTODAY,,,you'll love this and Choc_marg, you'll appreciate it,,,,, I sent DH & DS to the cabin (bow season has open) soooo they are completely out of my hair so I can pack!! It's amazing at how I had to twist DH's arm to go....NOT!! Just one small sugestion and they were gone!! They'll be home tom a.m. to get me then we're heading out. We'll be at the Animal Kingdom.

Dis_Nurse,,,,,DS has not one, but TWO, (2), dos, bi, CAVITIES!!! He has not even had teeth 3 years and he now has T-W-O cavities!! WHAT KIND OF MOM AM I?????? I'm going to blame Dad for this one! Yea,,, he's not here to defend himself, so IT'S HIS FAULT!! The tooth has not fallen out,,YET,,,but according to the dentist it's just a matter of time. It's extremely loose.

I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET ALLLLLLL OF YOU GUYS IN PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been trying to picture what each and everyone of you look like,,,,,I'm anxious to know if I'm right!!

Hi! I finally made it down here to the Center for Health and Learning to .....yup...... TAKE MY BREAK! The nurses at my hospital have nicknamed it the "Center for Wealth and Earning".....you should see how fancy and how much $$$ they put into this place! Like a hotel lobby with slate, marble, water features, and a fancy bookstore!

I started my morning in spin class at 5:45 am with the instructer playing the song, "Leaving, on a jet plane....don't know when I'll be back again..." I cracked up! What were the chances of that?

For everyone who is traveling soon, may it be safe and fun. May all germs land in someone else's nasal passages! Wash your hands, children! Don't forget!

jmkclee.....we are in Titanic sink hole room #2120. How do you know where your room is in exact proximity to the new Disney Quest? Could you please check out the map and let me know where we are from it? They do look like the shutdown at Midnight, but still!

Hope this weekend is a very productive one for me! Lots to do, like everyone else! But, FUN and EXCITING!

Are you taking the bows to Animal Kingdom? Nah, I guess they would frown on that? That is very cool. You should send him off to the cabin more often (that ought to get me a beer, eh? ).

DIS NURSE:

I have the passporter's guide to DCL which has deck plans in it. You are port side, ocean view room, right across from the aft elevators. Not too shabby in terms of noise, except for all going aft on the port side (about 25 rooms). Above you is the entrance to Parrot Cay, below is nothing (maybe crew quarters?)

We have 2 connecting deluxe inside rooms. We are using our DVC points. I picked our rooms because they were directly next to what were conference rooms and midship (hey, who works on a DCL cruise, or if they do, who works after 5??). Now that we are next to Ocean Quest, I am concerned. We may end up upgrading at port (I have talked DH into this if we can get a balcony with an inside across from us...we are traveling with our aupair, who will have some kids with her in the room). I am even willing to give up any excursions we have planned (only 1) in exchange if I can get some peace and quiet!!! (Of course, a balcony helps, too...) I am so stressed with the kids school and packing, that I am looking forward to some sleeping in!!!

C&D&F: On the back of the postcards are we to put the info about our state on it, or a personal note??? I thought it was the state info??? Hey, my life would be a whole lot easier if it was just personal with names and addresses and the like.

Are you kidding me? You were worried about the DQ? You're nowhere near it. Go WAY up to the top of this page and click on the "Deck Plans" link and click on deck 2. I bet you can't even get the DQ (conference rooms) and your cabin on your monitor at the same time!

You're all set girl. Now go pack!

A VISIT FROM “THE MICK”


Twas the night before cruising, and all through the house,
Not a kiddle was sleeping, thinking of that mouse!
The luggage tags were strung on the suitcases with care,
In hopes that the shuttle soon would be there.

The dis’rs were nestled, all snug in their beds,
As visions of margaritas danced in their heads.
Hedgie in a kerchief, Barkley in a cap, had just
Settled down for an overdue nap.
When out of the room there arose such a clatter,
We all sprang from our beds to see what was the
Matter.

The moon on the crest of the hurricane eroded beach
Made Castaway Cay seem almost within reach.
When what to our wondering eyes did we see?
Why that Mouse who sails on the Magic Disney!

More rapid than postings his coursers they came,
And he whistled and shouted, and called them by name:
“NOW AWOL, NOW CHOCMARG, NOW STB, NOW DISNURSE!
ON HAYLEY’SMOM, ON 4FORMICKEY, ON CHIP&DALE AND FAIRYDISMOM! TO THE TOP OF THE PORT, TO THE TOP OF THE WALL, NOW CRUISE AWAY, CRUISE AWAY, CRUISE AWAY ALL!”

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled the buffet tables; then turned with a jerk.
Laying his gloved finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod up to the deck he arose.

He sprang to the ship, to his team gave a whistle,

I just looked at our res and we are in room 2108 ,a few doors down from our favorite freind the nurse. The person who had others calling me a "troll"or was it "trolling for trouble". I picked up some dvd's for the plane ride so I guess barney and some old toons will do.How did I get stuck washing the clothes again?

OMG!, Barkley!...that poem was great! I need to print that out as a souvenier! I am determined to print that out and save it forever!

......I want to thank you all (in advance) for making the planning of this trip the most memorable adventure!

......we had our ups! ...and our downs .......and our (thump the poster) ........and our great questions answered without a fuss.... and a great sense of comrodery!

Hope you all remember to WASH YOUR HANDS wherever you may stray! (the hand sanitizer is good, but scrubbing with warm soapy water is best!....says the nurse )

There have not been many "firsts" in my past......or maybe "firsts" that were better left untold......

Hope you all have been following the weather........including that our ski resorts here are opening and that we are freezing cold with ice and snow! I am sooooooooo ready to blow this popcicle stand!

We all bought season passes for the upcoming winter on Mt. Bachelor (30 minutes drive). Hard to believe we are going from snow to the Caribbean, back to snow ....within a matter of days on either side.
DH says to me tonight, "go work out early 'cause I am going back country skiiing tomorrow AM". I will go to spin class at 0800, so DH can be out the door at 1000 to ski in the moutains.

I need this vacation like a camel needs water!

we hit about 70 degrees today. Most people out in tee shirts. I guess we will get our snow later. Time to put the last load in the dryer so I can go to bed.

How slow is this week going to go for me? With nothing to do but wait for Saturday!
Since the weather went from cold to now hot again, I had to unpack my summer clothes and wear them. So no packing till mid-week for me.

Just think in one short week we are on the ship Barkley: The poem was great....what a wonderful send off. Well I am off early this morning for the Dis Nurse's favorite store for last minute items for the suitcases. Final packing and outside winterizing to be done. Safe travels to everyone, and I second that wish about germs in other people's nasal passages. Skipped the flu shot at work yesterday since I did not want to EVEN chance some kind of bad reaction so close to the cruise.

Clothes go in the suitcases today and a trip to Wal-Mart is in store for all the sundries, etc that are needed for the trip.

I need to type of list of things for the kids, itinerary, phone numbers, etc while we are gone and to reiterate "NO PARTIES".

Purchased my bottle of Missouri wine and my supply of Bailey's minis for my morning coffee. What else? I'm sure hundreds of more last minute things will pop into my head.
