good morning all! a full nights sleep in a glorious thing

it is raining here, and snowing in the sierras-the local news showed the snow machines at the ski resorts working like gangbusters in hopes of opening much earlier than usual.

dh was told by his boss that he can leave a bit early today (she is from florida and said to he can go home and get ready to vacation!). so i am going to kick back and relax a bit, then go to the airline site and remeasure the suitcases, then it will be pack, pack, pack! we are at 19 hours from departure!!!

If you will remember, when we returned from our trip to Disney World in August, we drove. What is normally a 7 hour drive took over 9 with a screaming 2 year old. I decided for my sanity that instead of driving down the night before, that we would fly down the morning of the cruise.
So - it does look like I will be last to leave, I have no extra money for margarita's for everyone. In fact, since I am the LAST one to arrive - my vacation is technically the shortest, so I therefore deserve one drink from everyone!

What a week - I think all the work that did not get done last week decided it would crash down today. And, we still only have 40% of the lights working. Some friends and neighbors still without power, including the vet where I was planning on boarding the cat. Think Mickey would know if I brought him on board.....Do we have a wrist band - large - left - he can wear it as a collar.

And the Good news is that the skin doctor said the spot is only "pre-cancer". So, now I get to wear a band-aid on my right hand to go with the hurricane bruises. Seriously, this is good news....However, I am about ready to put this all aside and CRUISE!!!! I cannot wait until we hit the road for the Port. AWOL - thanks for all the work on the list. I had to edit it so DH did not see I had planned a birthday celebration for him...or our Anniversary.....so sssshhhh - for out meet at the Radison.

Did I post this am that he has to work 1/2 day on Friday. I still hope to make the 6:00 meet.....I am sure we will.

I am very disappointed that I did not get to the Dalanagaha (sp?) Florida winery and my wine of choice is not the best...Still, it is not orange wine, I would not do that to you guys,,,,,

DH had gone out for pizza to spare us hurricane food....so perhaps we can sit down and look at what we need to do.....

Time to get excited...
