CONGRATULATIONS

we dont need to go back to the radisson - but we do need our luggage to get on the ship!!

Dave and I looked at each other with panic this morning when we realized that we are not even remotely ready for the cruise! Three weeks, are you kidding! I'll be going through clothes today and making an inventory so that I know what still needs to be bought. Fix buttons, zippers, holes in bathing suits and such. OH MY GOODNESS!! I will not panic. I will not panic. I will not panic!

When should I expect to see our cruise documents in the mail? I mean we only have 3 WEEKS!!!! Ok, I will not panic!

what documents do we need now? :confused3

what documents do we need now?

You will be getting a package from DCL. It's forms to fill out and such. Good news is you can do it online now and not have to worry. The only form that can not be done online is the immigration<sp?> form which you will need to fill out. It also has a booklet with the items you can order from DCL to be in stateroom. Also has tux rental info junk like that.

It also means it's almost cruise time!!!!!

Morning Double-dippers!

Michelle, we have late seating and have requested the APL rotation (8PM), as have many of us with late seating. If they honor all our requests, the dining room will be full of DISers! Be sure you have your REQUEST noted on your reservation with DCL.

my digital camera (nikon coolpix 4600) has a terrible delay! i am getting a kodak z650 for my b'day in 12 days and i'm thinking this one is going to be a bit quicker (it sure cant be any slower!)

We had the same coolpix and totally agree! We purchased a Kodak 7430, and the speed is much better. The flash has a very short range (which can be a bummer at times).

Anybody else into geocaching? We've downloaded all of the caches stashed at each port and plan to do a bit of exploring. pirate:

For those that don't know, geocaching is basically using a GPS unit to find things hidden by other geocachers, with the coordinates for the caches posted on the Geocaching website. I've also seen it described as using a multi-billion dollar military GPS satellite system to find tupperware containers hidden in the woods. :lmao:

If you'd like more info, check out the geocaching website or feel free to ask. :) :thumbsup2

Dave

Dave, that sounds like a lot of fun. I signed up on the website. DH has a GPS doohickey, so he might really enjoy this. Thanks!

That would be fun - but I don't have one. My boss is buying the travel gps's for his officers at the Annual Celebration this year, I've been doing research and I think we'll go with the new HP which comes out later this month. Maybe I should sneak in an extra one?????:guilty:

I don't know too much about the HP's. This is the unit from Garmin that my boss let me buy for myself and my team...GPS Map 60Cx. It's a great unit for routing with turn-by-turn directions while driving, and is more than rugged enough for use in hiking and geocaching. We're very happy with these. :thumbsup2

I honestly don't know how I got around before having a GPS. It is an amazing tool for the work I do, and it's a cool toy for hiking and geocaching. How this thing works...it's pretty much indistinguishable from magic. :wizard:

We don't have a GPS (why my techno geek husband doesn't have one, I'll never know), but tried letterboxing last month with the kids. Really similar to geocaching, but you only need directions and a compass. Luckily, we found the first one we went searching for. Found directions to one in Cocoa Beach and one on Cozumel, so we may check those out, too.

Thanks for the info. I am a little worried.. There are such mixed reviews on the Raddison shuttle. My biggest concern is exactly what you experienced. Being my DD uses a wheelchair things are always a little harder for us.But I am traveling with a group of New Yorkers and we all know how they can be ;)

Geez...now I'm a little worried, too. Crowds of people vying for the same spots on a shuttle is not going to go over well with Surly (he'll live up to that name in a situation like that). But, worse, would be seeing your family having to strongarm others just to get Angelina a space! Hmm...maybe we'll pretend we're from NY and part of your group, Michelle. Strength in numbers, right?:)

SMchan said he would post again closer to our trip - i wonder how much closer we have to get until he comes out of hiding again . . . :confused3

his pictures are amazing!

It is regretful that I write this, but Smchan will not be joining us. He wishes all a great trip.
