Well I finally got my PDA to sync with a windows program (I hate MS) and I got my tentative schedule up on my vow renewal site. calendar it needs some editing I have just been adding to it. I haven't taken anything off that has been changed. Several lunches and a dinner have been moved around and our excursions haven’t been added I am waiting for confirmation from my wedding coordinator. So I hope to have it finalized as a rough draft tomorrow.
You forgot to add you will be crying on Saturday the 18th :dance3: :rolleyes1

I just booked this cruise a week ago and was surprised to see how active this thread is! I will go back and try to read up on everyone. Just thought I would pop in and say that we will be joining this fantastic group.
My family will consist of myself, Jean, DS11 (Jon), DD9 (Jenna) and my mom Elaine. DH couldn't take the rough seas of our cruise on the Eastern Magic of Nov. 12, 2005. In fact he swore that he would never set foot on a ship again. Well, we will miss him :rotfl2: (BTW- that was a great group of DIS'ers on that cruise, too :thumbsup2 ). Mom is taking DH's place on this trip. This is my gift to her for caring for Dad for the past several years as his health was failing. They had celebrated their 50th anniversary earlier this year. After he passed away this summer, I wanted to do something for Mom. When she mentioned that she had always wanted to go on a cruise, I didn't waste any time booking another Disney cruise  The kids and I look forward to showing her everything there is to do and see :dance3:
I am so happy to read about the wonderful cruisemates that will be on the trip. It should be a great time for all.
I will do my best to read all of the previous posts. I will try to check in when I can. I look forward to learning more about everyone and hopefully we will meet on board.
Happy cruise thoughts to all! :beach:

Welcome! Looking forward to meeting you! Also, my DD11 is always looking for a new penpal if you daughter is interested. Just PM me if so and I can get you all her information.

MIchele..I cannot take credit for the list. Jackie emailed me the list and I just alphabetized it. I am assuming Jackie compiled this list from fellow Disers and not her past experience. :rotfl2:

Ugh, tomorrow is Monday and it is back to work. I figure most of us will be saying the same thing in 10 weeks.

I feel like I am forgetting to do something as the date grows closer. I have booked the hotel room, reserved the van, reserved the transportation to and from the ship (maybe I should reconfirm one more time), ordered the WDW passes on will call, booked the airline and paid the deposit (final payment due next week), booked shore excursions and Palo (which I will fix when I get on board). What am I forgetting? Oh I do need to order my rewards card, I will do that now. Can anyone think of what I am forgetting?

Well off to order the rewards card. :surfweb:

Correct...compiled from various drink threads...I pretty much only have about 6 cocktails a YEAR! OK...maybe a dozen. Geeze...I forgot we're going to have a couple of bottels of wine in the room. Guess I'd better cut that list back to a BBC, Nuts & Berries, lemoncito martini and the Palo 'palate clenser'.

1.Fill out travel documents on line
2.Buy stateroom credits (so you can buy me cocktails)
3.Purchase you know what :ssst: in Vegas at that special store down the street

Those were the things on my 'to do' list that I didn't see on yours.

WELCOME mrsgreenjeans! :welcome: this is a great bunch of people you will be cruising with. Take a look at post #2957 and 2962 to see the DIS silicone braclets info....we will be ordering these soon (I was going to do it this week, but still need to hear from a few folks)...so there's still time to get in on that action if you are interested. We will be doing a DIS meet at 3PM in the Promanade Lounge on embarkation day too.

Hope you all had a good weekend...I made it through mine with a minimum of housework! :thumbsup2

Ah yes, I forgot about the documents on line. I had better mention that to all the rest of my group.

I ordered the rewards card and there is enough on there to buy you a drink and me a couple.

I do remember the trip doun the strip in vegas. Now I need to order the boas and the treasure chests from orient express.

Thanks for helping me out.

OH....I saw the treasure chests at the party store right by my house yesterday. I may pick up one for my table....we'll see. I keep dreaming up all these little things/treats for the cruise...I'm going to have to ship down a 20 lbs box of stuff in advance! :upsidedow

Welcome

Ok sorry I got the flu or what ever everyone else in the family had a month ago. I guess I ran my self down all last week when I was recovering from the mushroom attack. Any way I was working on my site on the lap top and well I really don’t like the thing and I crashed my site. The More I tried the worse it became so here is the new link to the calendar. calender
My DW made me stay home. I got the see what you did you should have stayed home last week and you wouldn’t be sick right now.

::yes:: Don't you know when women become mom's they magically just KNOW this stuff. That's why I alway call SOMEONE's mom when I need to know the best way to take care of myself. ;)

Dude, your calendar makes me tired just reading it...but then I have to remember you are listing activities for a whole family. Just want to make sure you know some of those activities may be different times or locations on our cruise...

Here's what I'm HOPING is different for us from the previous double-dips:

NEW BAND! Haven't been hearing anything good about the current band on the Magic...though most of the negative reports have come from the first week they were on the ship...so maybe things will imporve by our cruise.

Docking in Cozumel, still holding out hope that the port will have a pier open (they claim October) and that the MAGIC will get it on our day. If so, this will most likely mean we will stay in port longer...enjoy the nightlife, not have to race back from excursions etc.

Well, boys and girls, it's a new week and a new opportunity to loose some weight and get a bit of exercise and maybe work a bit of overtime...all activities that will enhance my cruising experience :thumbsup2

See you in cyberspace!

Faireygodmother,
Do I need to order my rewards card THIS early????!!! I still have credits to earn!!! We're at about $300 but we can get more!

Jackie,
Explain the Cozumel dock thing....I don't understand what you mean.

And does anyone know how many goodie bags we should be planning for DIStag--1 or bunches? I'm supposed to go to the City Wednesday and that will be the time for me to start picking things up.

.

Right now all ships have to tender into Cozumel (none of the docks have completed the repairs from last year's hurricanes). They hope to have Punta Lagosa (sp?) pier completed sometime in October...and I'm hoping our ship gets to use it. Those ships that tender have to leave before dark (hence our 6P departure). Being able to dock at the pier means we can stay late (as originally scheduled on a Western itinerary) and enjoy the port longer!

Also, regarding Disney Rewards card...you do want to order yours a few weeks before cruise time at the latest. You can 'add' any more points you've earned since ordering it a couple of days before we depart, as that just takes a phone call.

PM txaggie94gigem regarding participation in DIS Tag...though it may be too soon to have a final list yet, but she'll be able to tell you.

OK....my work here is done....of to the office now!

Welcome Mrs. Green Jeans! Glad to have you aboard!:cheer2: :welcome:

Ok, just wanted to let everyone know that although I'm exhausted from reading the last couple of pages with all the "goings on" - I am re-excited about the cruise. I dropped a couple of pounds within the last two weeks YIPEE on that one!

AND the BIG NEWS.... I found out I get my entire year's contribution back from my medical savings and can GO TO LAS VEGAS WITH THE GIRLS!!!!!!party: :rockband: :dancer: :cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :woohoo:
