Wow 6000 post and I think I read almost all of them over the last 2 years.

Once again thanks to all. It will be a vacation the Barczak family remembers forever. Can't say enough good things about everyone.

Thanks to Woody for the great hospitality and to his beautiful wife for all the cartoons posted on the door - and the duct tape!

Thanks to Dee, Jackie, Peggy & possibly Linda for the surprise candy bag. Something tells me you all had something to do with it.

Thanks to all the Dis Tag players. My two little guys (DS8 & DS7) had a great time playing. Are still talking about the time I tripped trying to run up the stairs from a tag attempt. Total calories in all bags was 374,928.

Had a great time with mom2of2 and crew on the ruin tours although getting Peg down from the upper plateau was a bit touch and go for a moment. And yeah, DS13 gave me the report on the pda incident.

Minuture golf on Cozumel with Jaypd and family was a blast. Always have a good time when I win a beer from someone (Rich - Jays Dad was high man and had to buy the end of match refreshments).

Had 2 great meals at Palo's. Brunch with the group was awesome. The Vanetian Dream coctail was the next best thing to se... I mean golf.
Dinner with my lovely wife Alison was magical. 24 years and she is still as beautiful as the day I met her. Thank God she puts up with me and hasn't booted me out yet. Not many ladies could handle 5 kids alone.

Happy Thanksgiving to All. I have a lot to be thankful for and meeting all of you is near the top of the list.

Um...work is sweating bullets for months about you leaving on vacation and now that you're back, you have time to DIS?? Cool...

And, honey, that eastern has THREE sea days....

Our family had a blast! And our traveling group didn't quite understand the whole DIS connection either. Every time I stopped to talk to a DISer, someone in our group would ask if I know everyone on the ship?! :teeth:

My oldest DS met some great teens and misses hanging out with them (I think only half were DISer kids). There's one girl we hear a lot about, and we actually bumped into her family briefly at MGM on Sat. night - made my son's day!

I too was not as impressed with DCL on this cruise as I was on our previous cruise. The band was not as good as the previous one, but I do wish the Charles Marshall Band well with whatever they are doing now. The ship is showing the signs of wear and tear though... there were many noticable carpet stains along the stairwells. Once again, our cabin steward was only average (and this is compared to the WONDERFUL service our traveling companions had who were also traveling in CAT 9). We loved all of our dining servers though! Steve and Patricio were GREAT, and so was Ciao Romano in Palo. I will get around to working on a trip report later in the week.

It was so fun getting to know so many of you. The boas were fun in the port too! One gal in our group was told by the security gal with a dog (where you check your bags with the porters) to "be prepared for some really strange people cruising this week. There must be about 20 or more ladies walking around in green boas." My friend replied, "great, my boa is in my bag... I'll have to go ahead and get it out!" :thumbsup2

Well, the :laundy: awaits! We did a few days at WDW after the cruise, so add that pile of clothes to the list as well! The weather was NOT what we expected... if anyone is ever considering a DL trip in Mid Nov. plan on weather just like FL had over the weekend. :confused3 Speaking of DL... if anyone goes in Dec. let us know.

BTW... we rebooked onboard for a phantom date for 2008. We want to wait to see what the special 2008 cruises are.

Wendy let me know about the pics. We are getting all our together and it is well into the 2000. OMG!

David, thank you for the thank you. Jackie and I really enjoyed doing it. Also thanks for the tip on the comics. I had no idea and some people were not talking.

Woody thanks for the lime green bag and magnet. Totally not necessary.

Well I have been sitting at my desk freezing and starving. I guess there is no walking to goofys or plutos to grab a bite or some fresh fruit. :teeth:

OH MY GOD - how could I have forgotten you in my "memories tour" ~!!!! I never laughed so hard while we were at the DIS lunch, you were telling stories and I couldn't keep up with you! I do have a couple of things in the back of my mind for bribes later thought!!! *JUST KIDDING!!!! I am so glad we got to spend time with you and your DH - although he wasn't around as much - it sure was good to meet the boys! They are going to give you MUCH girl trouble later, I know your in denial about it -but IT WILL happen...they are too cute for words! Just wanted you to know you are in my memories too!

Congrats, we booked on-board for 1/12/08 but pushed it out to 1/19/08 (one less day out of school for the older son).

Thanks Suzanne! DH will be mighty happy about that, even though we will have to travel to another county to buy alcohol!

I'm reading all these wonderful things with all these neat stories--I feel like I didn't get to know any of you! I really should have had a meal with some of y'all..

Okay, just got an email from Disney Cruise Line GSM:

"Thank you for choosing to sail with Disney Cruise Line for your cruise vacation. It was our pleasure to have you as our Guest.

While all Guests onboard are given the opportunity to complete our shipboard Guest Satisfaction Survey, we have chosen a small, but significant, selection of Guests to participate in a specialized online survey that is different from the shipboard form..."

Guess it was that three extra pages I wrote...hmmm, maybe they couldn't read the Southern handwriting...

Greetings from "back home" in Massachusetts, where it's even colder than Orlando! Just a quick post as we arrived home very late last night after spending 2 nights at Coronado Springs and a few of the parks.

Had a great cruise. as always, and enjoyed meeting many of you. THANK YOU so much to the gracious hosts of the stateroom tour. :thumbsup2

We did rebook for 11/10/07 although we may consider alternate dates.

Had a tough time disembarking... perhaps a few of you caught the scene of my 4 year-old crying her eyes out in the atrium and outright refusing to leave? Darn kid made ME cry! I had to actually carry her off, kicking and screaming. Even while at the Magic Kingdom, she kept asking to PLEASE take her back to the "Mickey Boat".

Looking forward to hearing about everyone's magical moments!

Our moment was at the 'Remember the Magic' show. My son turned to me with the saddest face & said "Mom, I don't want to have to remember the Magic. I just want to be always be here." I learned the carpet pattern in the theater very well as I stared down teary eyed for a long time, hoping no one would notice.

I can go to The Parks, Club Med, other vacation spots and I'm sad when it's over, but more like how you're sad the weekends over. Leaving the ship on Saturday was a very different feeling.

Is it strange for me to say, I don't think I'll go again. No other trip could match this one. I wouldn't want it too, if it could.

Didn't see your DD, but my DS cried at breakfast as we got up to say goodbye to our servers, Deepak and Gedings. Gedings, father of three, sweetly walked us out.

On a lighter note, we received so many tag bags and gifts from our AZ aunties and from a certain Toystory character and his lovely wife, that on the drive from LAX, DD enthused, "I wonder if we'll have surprises when we get home!!" Unfortunately, the only surprise at home was that there were NO chocolates waiting for her on her bed...and, well, there was that banana that had been sitting on the counter for the last two weeks...

Wow! Some of you are way more organized than me.....
Our suitcases are still laying in the living room...now open so that the kids could find clean stuff for school....

I posted some of my pics up to my MySpace site. http://www.myspace.com/nttybunch I even set up a slide show. I'm planning on adding more later.

Thanks to everyone for all the wedding congrats and a special thank you to Jeanna, Pat and the Hannos for everything that you did...we love you guys!

Devin, it's good to hear that they are home....keep us posted on her condition! Also, you and Michelle looked great!!!

We're rebooked for the 12/01/07 Western (I moved our Nov 07 ressie onboard). We're going to head down to WDW a few days early. DDIL Sheryl and DSIL Mike also rebooked onboard...they are hooked! As of right now Jeff says that he's not taking the girls (kind of a rough adventure...first time family vacations ya' know) but we'll see. I transferred the ressies to Kim so that we can get the extra stateroom credits.

I've been talking with a girl who's getting married on the 12/9/06 and evidently the ship is quite empty. They just downgraded their ressies to Cat. 12 to take advantage of the savings. Evidently they got their room (for 2) for only $1200. We spent quite a while talking last night about how our wedding went so that she could be a little more prepared. Our coordinator, Marc, was absolutely fabulous and I really would like to write him and his supervisor to let them know just how great he really was!!!

We'll talk to everyone soon! Looking forward to reading everyone's trip reports!

I just wanted to say hi to everyone and to the ones I did meet. This was the best vacation and my hubby said he will bust his you know to get me on amnother with no kids this time.. I was unpacked Sat night and doing laundry Sun. I just had to get back to order quickly. Thanks Sue and Steve for the laughs up in the Cove and 70's night. My husband says hello to everyone too. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone,

It was so nice meeting many of you in person, and I can now attest that none of you are axe murderers. Interestingly, my kids seemed to hook up with other DISers kids in the clubs. Coincidence? I think not! Speaking of which, Devin, my DD found your DD's ring in her pocket after we arrive home. I guess she held it for her during the graduation, and then forget about it. Would you like us to send it to you?

With much difficulty, we did rebook onboard, for 11/10/07. Leslie said there were many who rebooked for that date. I'll have to start researching--we've been on two Western's, so we're looking forward to trying an Eastern.

I was in the Disney store today looking for pins. My kids are addicted to these, and trading, so I'm going to get them some as stocking stuffers and to trade next year. While I was at TDS, they were playing the music from the Welcome Aboard show. I thought I could cry!

Thanks for all making the cruise a special place to be. And thank you for the "Mickey Movie Munchies." This was enjoyed by all. Hope to see some of you again on the cruise next year. I will try to get a report up soon. Thanks to Dee's navigator's last page, I took notes to help with the report.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Lauri

It was nice meeting many of you (and Jeri--Steve says hi to you all too!)

Our trip ended with a slight downer as it seems that someone in the luggage retrieval area decided they wanted my lime green mickey head luggage tag :furious: They had to do some work to pull it off (the way it was attached) but I hope they enjoy looking at my name and phone number every day while they know that they stole a $1 luggage tag from me. :furious:
Then someone on the way home decided they wanted my new Pilgrim Mickey antenna topper from my car so they broke off my on-star antenna (that just went from a $4 antenna topper to a $90 antenna!)
I just don't get why some people feel the need to steal from others :(

Then I come home to my work computer crashed (hard drive went bad and the darn thing was only 10 weeks old!) So it was quite the experience.

Saw a few people in the parks on Saturday that we had seen on the ship. Wow was it pretty darn cool in Florida!! Good thing we bought a couple of sweatshirts on the ship or we would have been freezing!

Sorry we didn't get to meet up with more of you, but we had a lovely time on the cruise!

Dancing I went to the Cove Cafe most nights I think next cruise I'm going to spend less time there. I had a good time but I want to try something differant.

Saw you guys up at Cove Cafe often (it's where DH spent EVERY evening)
Even saw you at Senor Frogs (although my memory of that afternoon/evening is a bit fuzzy!)

Hope your friends are doing okay (DH told me they had to leave the ship)

Sure wish we would have had more time to get to know your bunch, except for the laundry afternoon!!! Funny that we had that fun, then my sis came in and figured out who you were! So funny. Glad you enjoyed your cruise and it was lovely meeting you and your DH who knows how to do laundry!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:
