Stimpy,

We're coming in from Philly too. Maybe you sister's on our flights. we're going down Friday evening, coming back Saturday afternoon. The flights were still open when I went to bed last night, but today, there are several that are full.

That would be funny! She's on the 5:55PM flight out of Philly on Friday night. She's coming home on the Sunday after the cruise. We're all staying 1 extra night there. My family is staying at the AKV but I'm not sure where they are staying yet.

Linda, our school district doesn't release the dern school calendar until 2 weeks before school starts so I'm not sure about that Friday. Since Veteran's Day falls on the weekend, I'm not sure if they will have Friday or Monday off. Stupid district! They make a big deal about vacations being "illegal absences" yet they don't tell us when any school breaks are. Usually we can figure out most of them but still...its kind of hard to plan around them if we don't know them! :confused3

Our district doesn't release them either but I am in a monthly meeting with the Superintendent so she will usually give it to us once the board approves it. I am pretty sure that any parent that calls can get the information once the board approves it. Have you tried calling the district office?

Linda

Actually, I was just in the office a few days ago to fill out forms for our cub scout meetings next school year. I did ask and the 2 women working laughed and said "noone finds out until August! They won't even tell us!" Can you tell someone high up has control issues??? :lmao: The district in the town next to us, releases their schedule in May and we are usually on the same schedule. They have off on Monday.

If they do have off on Friday, hopefully we'll get a DING and I can change to an earlier flight! :cool1: I hate those afternoon flights, I just feel like I'm waiting around all morning.

Well, we're on the same flight. Does she have any kids? I have DS 13 and DD 10. Maybe they can meet on the way down. We're staying at the Doubltree in Cocoa Beach the night before, on Hilton Honor points.

Maybe I shouldn't tell you :rolleyes1 They have a DS who will be almost 2. If he acts up on the plane, I apologize in advance :lmao: Although he is a really really good baby and has flown before with no problems. My sister & brother-in-law are really good with him, they aren't the type of parents that will let him kick seats, scream, jump around etc. When we went to WDW with them last November, I only heard him cry once the whole week. We like to tease my sister that she better stop at one child! (I, of course, did not follow that logic myself after my very good DS and now have a terror DD  )

That is my favorite age--I love 18-24 m/o! It sounds like we may have the same kids--my DS was the easiest in the world, and DD would have been an only if she were first :rotfl: . Well, she's MUCH better now that she's 10.

That IS funny! I tell people that all the time. "If DD was my first she would be my only!!!" It does sound a little mean and I do love her to death but there are times I give my DH the "this was your idea" look. :lmao:

Its been so long since I have had time to check the boards I feel like I am meeting everyone for the first time.
We recevied our "offical" Disney Travel Kit in the mail yesterday.
Like I already dont know what we are doing........:dance3:
I took some time to read the post and catch up ... cant wait to meet everyone !!!!!!!:cheer2:

I have the same issue...my ds was so easy and my DD was a terror (still is...just in different ways). I still have a few years until she is 10, maybe there is still some hope.

Doesn't it kill you....they don't want you to take the kids out of school but they don't give you the tools you need to do that.

Exactly! I drives me up a wall and is probably one of my biggest pet peeve about the district!

OK, Lynn....what's the Disney Travel Kit? I'm intrigued and more importantly, I want one!!! :lmao: Did anyone else get one yet?

We just got the travel kit. It came directly from our travel agent (we're using AAA). Not any information that we DISers don't already know, but it's nice to know that Disney is thinking of as, aw we are thinking of them.

Lauri

We also used AAA the travel kit contains everything we already know by heart.
We are staying at the Hyatt the day before the cruise , how many others are staying there as well? Do any of you know if they bring the luggage to Disney for you? This will the first time we fly in the day before our Cruise..

Lynn

Just wondering if we are only ones that aren't paid in full yet? We only have a small payment left and I can't wait to get it done!

Not paid in full yet either. In fact, we just paid our deposit. A few days before the 90 day mark, we'll make our lump payment. We may as well hold onto the money, rather than Disney. We still have a month and a half to think about when we'd like to go to Palo, book excursions, kids club registration, and online checkin (which I highly recomend if you haven't done this before.)

Lauri

We recieved our travel kit from DCL last week also. It really doesn't have anything new if you have cruised before. Just tells about shore excursions in general and what to pack, ect.

We have not paid anything but the deposit. We also will pay just in time to be able to book the excursions, Palo, ect.

Hi Lynn,

We are also staying at the Hyatt the day before the cruise. Where in Mass. are you from and where are you flying out of? We are also from Mass. (Norton). Even though we are closer to Providence we are flying Jet Blue in the afternoon out of Boston.

We are out of Palmer - Exit 8 off the Pike. We will be flying out of Bradley in CT -We are arriving around 10 am and the plan is either Kennedy Space Center or Beach... There will be 8 of us coming in that day.:cheer2:
