November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

So for those of you that have been aboard before....have any of you adults had your hair braided? I was thinking about doing this, just for kicks...but i'm not sure if it would make me seem too kiddish :p What do ya'll think?

Oh, and have any of you done the rasul?

I haven't done it but I say go for it. I think you have to be careful if your hair is too thin though. There was an older woman with fairly thin red hair and she had her whole head done and it really looked pretty bad:scared1: . All you could see was her scalp. You might want to start with the 1/2 (only the top) and see if you like it first. My daughter had it done and it was really cute.

Sorry that the kids haven't had time to respond to emails lately. We are trying to get school finished up and it seems that we are running non-stop!

My hair is like way thick, and i think doing the crown may keep my frizzies down....but like i said, i'm afriad of it looking too childish eh.....we'll see.

It's totally ok about the emails...my sis is already out of school (private school)....anyways, whose done rasul here? :p

When we had my DD's done that was the best perk. I was so bummed that I didn't do it until Thursday because it was so much easier not to have to worry about the tangles in her hair with getting in and out of the pool. The one nice thing about waiting until later in the week is that we were able to keep it in for her first few days back to school!

yeah, i'm secretly hoping my sister will do it with me and it can be a "bonding" experience of sorts....

I've seen lots of adults with their hair braided. It looks pretty.

I was always too afraid to do it myself. I heard it hurts alot and taking them out is difficult. Plus stories about leaving bald spots etc. Too many bad stories but I'm sure there are many more good ones. :goodvibes

Didn't Bo Derek have braids in "10"?

Did any of you checked if the price at DCL website was the same as you paid for when you booked????

I've'd checked and it still the same.....

The cruise price has gone up since we originally booked on board a year ago, but after that initial bump, there have been no changes. There are still plenty of cabins available, meaning Floridians will probably get a crack at great rates in the fall, and we may get a chance to upgrade at the port.

We had a family discussion about excursions this weekend. We'll probably do some sort of island tour on St. Maartin, and are looking into the Water Island bike tour on St. Thomas. At least it's close enough now that they'll let me start discussing it with them :rotfl: .

Not us. How about you?

Don't hate us, but.....

We had a Cat3. Handicapped at the back of the ship, the Mrs. sometimes gets a little green around the gills and was worried about too much motion back there, we've never been more than a couple of rooms away from the mid ship elevators.

I called and made a personal request to waitlist for something more towards the middle.

IC called two weeks ago, we got 8016. We'll be in it for both this cruise and the May repo.

Guess where the wine tasting party will be..:rolleyes1 ....

Well, for us the room # will be a surprise, because we booked a cat 12. gty, so as of now, the only thing I'm sure of, is that we are going to be on that ship on November 10th!!!!!:rotfl:

Wow - a cat 2! been2marceline: was that an upgrade or just a waitlist where you paid the difference when the cat 2 opened up?

We are in a cat 4 and I believe the price has gone up about $500 since we booked. I haven't checked lately, though, so it may have gone down again if there are lots of empty staterooms.

Cat 2? I'm so jealous! Congrats!

I haven't checked the prices lately but checked availability. Last time I checked, Cat 6 was booking only as GTY so I guess they are starting to fill up. There were quite a few Cat 11 open still.

Tell me, what's the first thing you cannot wait to do, once onboard???

I'll tell mine; last night a dreamed that I was sitting at a nice "bistro" table with my husband, sitting outside, looking at the ecean and feeling sooooooo lucky to be on this wonderfull cruise:love: :cloud9:

Can't wait for this dream to come thru!!!!:rolleyes1

I think that we will head to the pools and have lunch there. I have found that trying to have lunch in the buffet right after we get on the ship along with everyone else just gets so crazy.

Don't hate us . . .
Wouldn't think of it!

Congratulations!

Anyone interested in organizing a cabin tour? This involves an "open house" of cabins in different categories (typically on a sea day). It's a great way to compare various cabins as you plan your next Disney cruise.
