November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

I just checked the AAA rates for the night before and they went down $40.00  I originaly had a rate of $199.00 and now it is $159.00. I called and they changed my reservation to the lower rate. If you have AAA and you are paying more then $159.00 I would call and have your reservation changed.

Good morning! I need to stay up later, this thread is hopping at night!

Thanks to all who responded on the Bahamas form. I guess it doesn't matter what you put, they'll let us onto Castaway Cay either way! Which is good, since I am so looking forward to our time there.

My son is also going as the red Power Ranger. He met them at Disney World last year and ever since has wanted to be the red one.

We are so close now!!:cheer2:

I paid 173.86$ when we booked with our AAA TA, do you think the price could be lowered even with the TA???

I just sent all my little pirates to school. I LOVE Halloween and can't wait to see the kids at my daughters second grade party this afternoon!

Hey gang! I have a stupid question.......

What do you do with your camera, i.d and everything else when you're at CC or on the beach somewhere else????

We cannot leave all this alone on a beach chair:confused3 :confused3

While on CC we just leave everything in our beach bag on our chairs. We don't have a super expensive camera and we upload our pics to our laptop each night, so it would be annoying but not a catastrophe if someone took it, and, honestly, we've never really worried about it. Although I have been told that I'm too trusting before, so I'm curious to hear what others say.

I have an aquapac - its a little blue waterproof case on a lanyard that you can wear when you are swimming. It's big enough for your key to the world card, money, and even a small cell phone. It is truly waterproof - my mom took it on their recent Hawaii cruise and loved it! They do make camera aquapacs, but I didn't like the one I looked at (it was a bit too bulky), so we are bringing a disposable underwater camera. I figure that will be with us and if we don't want to use it, I'll leave it in our beach bag under the chair or under a towel. They also have some plastic type cases on lanyards that you can get - I have one from my parents' cruise for my husband to use (he is doing the 12 metre regatta and I am not). It says Royal Carribean so I'm certainly not using it! :rotfl:

I got my aquapac online, they sell them through e-bags and I believe LL Bean carries them as well.

Let's see, this year DD-13 is an autograph book and DS-10 is a person with an identity crisis (sweatshirt with 20 or so "Hello my name is" stickers on it w/ different names).

[By the way, we have a ton of those stickers left over -- should I bring them for our DIS get togethers?]

DS-9 has chosen for the 3rd or 4th year in a row to stay home and "scare people." He's not that into candy, and the dads and teens who come to our door make a big show of being scared when he jumps out and yells "boo." Very cute. I think he caught on a couple of years ago that they were not really scared, but he still likes doing it.

My son just got really into the Power Rangers this summer, and I was so happy to find the costume with boots, mask, gloves etc. for $12.99 on Disneystore.com!!!:)

I knew I signed up on disboards for a good reason. Awesome advice.

I am staying at the Hyatt the night before and was originally paying 199.00. Now I'm paying 159.00.

Also thanks for the tip on how to get to St. John.

Allearsnet.com documents the haunted house updates. No Nightmare before Christmas updates if my memory is correct.

. . . What do you do with your camera, i.d and everything else when you're at CC or on the beach somewhere else????

While on CC we just leave everything in our beach bag on our chairs. . .

We do the same on CC, but take precautions at other beaches. It helps to hook up at the beaches with others in our group. There is usually someone who wants to just lounge and relax, and will keep an eye on everyone's stuff.

Man, I got ripped off! I bought it at another online place and paid at least double that! Oh well, what can you do? I would have paid even more to get it since he was so excited about it. :)

Maybe it was last years costume and why it was so cheap, but I couldn't tell any difference between the one I got and the other one that they were selling for $34.99.

Like you said, I would have paid whatever for it, since my DS was so set on being the red power ranger.

Have a great Halloween!:)

princess: DD (7) pirate: DS (3) DS (5 months)
