November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

I also called inquiring if the new movie Enchanted might be playing. Official release date id 11/21. They didn't say this movie will be playing on board the week of our cruise. But they did also state Dan in Real Life will be playing.

Oh cool! I wanted to see Dan In Real Life! I love Steve Carrell. Since we rarely get to the movies here at home, hopefully we'll get a chance on the cruise.

When my daughter and I get off the ship we are spending 1 night at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We plan to do all 4 parks in 2 days with intent doing all of the things that have changed since our August "07" visit.

These are the things I am aware off.

Magic Kingdom decorated for the holidays
Haunted House

Epcot decorated for the holidays.
Epcot turned 25, not certain how spaceship earth looks now.

MGM decorated for the holidays
Osborne Light Festival

Animal Kingdom decorated for the holidays
Tuskers now has breakfast with characters including Daisy Duck
Jingle Jungle Parade

Does anybody know of anything else.
Any must sees from a decoration for the holidays perspective

Does the castle only sparkle during the Very Merry Christmas party.

Kerri, we'll be at the AKL too that night. We'll be staying in the villas. I don't know if we're planning on seeing any of the parks since it's just one day. Dh & I are going back down in December for a few days before mousefest.

i don't even want to think about hurricanes! :scared:

We'll be at AKL(V) for 6 days afterwards .... yeehaa!

From my understanding Spaceship Earth at Epcot has had the big Wand, Hand and Stars taken down, the ride inside is closed for rehab.

We found out last trip that the Haunted House does not get the Jack Skellington / Nightmare Before Christmas re-do that they do in DL - it is pretty neat. They have made some improvements to the Ghost Bride and other items inside the house, definitely worth seeing.

We'll be doing Tuskers as well, but a couple of days after you.

The lobbys at the hotels usually have some pretty cool stuff, don't know if the full size gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian will be up yet though....

Unknown about sparkling castles.....

Go to the trip report boards and read up on this weeks Eastern Sailing! :scared1: Gosh....I hope it is OK when we get there!

Long range forecast is for nice weather near departure, but that can all change in an instant.

Noel will be long gone by then, hopefully it will have reduced sea surface temps in the area enough to help calm things down.

There is a tropical wave running past the VI's in a couple of days, it too will have passed by the time we get there, they are not predicting any new cyclone formation in the next 48 hours, but as it it the tropics, things can change very rapidly.

especially when I'm lurking near the Roy Disney suite trying to leave a gift without getting spotted!
:rotfl2:

Michele

Flattery will get you... everywhere!

From all the new DIS'rs that have popped up, we may need more glasses.......

Welcome all.

What website are you looking at ?

Long range forecasts - weather.com for Orlando, FL & St. Thomas, VI.

That stuff is prettied up for public consumption, the hard code stuff ( where weather.com & everyother forecaster on the planet gets it) comes from:

www.nws.noaa.gov - National Weather Service. If you look at the left menu under hurricanes is the link to:

www.nhc.noaa.gov - National Hurricance Center - check the "Tropical Discussion".

We are all fighting colds here too! I'd rather get them out of the way now though, than us all get sick on the boat.

Congrats to all you Red Sox fans!:cheer2: I'm a Met fan myself, so as long as it's not the Yankees, I'm happy.

Dont hate on the Yankees ybells just because your beloved Mets blew a 7 game lead in 2 weeks...the largest with 2 weeks to play in MLB history. OUCH!

Just teasing with you ybells! Go Yanks 2008!

Yes, I agree it was pretty pathetic!:confused3

Staying out of the Yankee Met debate! Dh is a Mets fan and I'm a Yankees one.....it gets ugly around here in September :lmao:
