Thanks for the prayers. I'm doing okay, each day is a little better (c-sections are rough on the body). DH is taking good care of me. DD is so cute! She had a few rough days this past week, but is making some improvements. We saw her a few hours ago and she's having a good day. We know that she'll love cruising because they keep her isolette nice and humid for her skin and she gets to lay out under the lights with shades on.
Glad to hear the "lil sailor", and Mom are improving each day! I can just picture the baby laying their with sunglasses and humming "When you wish upon a star". I'm sure she is a precious little star.
CastawayKev...keep up the good work. Just remember in the coming months...diaper changing is easier and cheaper...than 16 yrs from now when she wants her own car and needs you to teach her how to drive
Being the obsessiver person I am ...this morning I booked the Residence Inn for the night before our cruise. No waiting until the last minute here!
Since it was our first visit to Castaway Cay, I didn't have a frame of reference but I didn't notice any damage at all.
Rumor on board our 11/4 sailing was that the week before one of the ships had to skip CC and did two days in Nassau (Yuk) instead. Apparently, because of the weather, the Wonder and the Magic were both in port in Nassau on the same day the week of Tropical Depression Noel. (I am sure that rare event did not cheer the group who didn't get to go to CC one little bit.)
We will be joining all of you. This will be our fourth DCL cruise. It will be me, DW, DS14, DS9 and twin DD5. Grandma and Grandpa are also planning to come us.
We are going to try to get reservations to Palo on this trip. I know as a return cruiser my window opens 90 days out. That 90 day window is 10 days before my final payment is due. Do I have to be paid in full to make a Palo reservation? If so, I'll get that final payment in early.
Looking for any info/advice with regard to booking Palo. Thanks!!!!
Add us to the list. We just returned from the Jersey Week Western Cruise on the Disney Magic, and rebooked on board for this cruise. It will be me, DH, and my 2 sons that will be 9 and 10 years old at the time of the cruise.
We had a great time on this cruise. The last cruise we were on when the kids were 6 and 7 years old (the Disney Wonder in 05) we couldn't get them out of the kids clubs, but this time they were hardly in the kids clubs and wanted to do more family activities. Maybe next year they'll have more interest in the kids clubs again. As far as excursions, they really liked the Pirate Encounter in Grand Cayman and we will probably do that again. In Cozumel, we didn't like the DCL beach break, so we may do the submarine.
We did Palo for dinner and really liked it, but next time I would like to try the brunch. There were so many people from NJ on the cruise; every time they would ask where someone was from the response would be "NJ" and the comedians were making jokes about it.
I'm so glad I get to post on this page!!! Just booked our cruise this morning- myself, DH,DS 11 and DS 9 will be there with the rest of the state to have a blast! This is our first Disney cruise- DH & i have been on some other short ones, but our boys have never cruised at all and we know they are going to love it ! Yippee!!! Can't wait to read this thread and find out who we'll be cruisin' with-
Ellen
Welcome aboard Podsnel! Of course your sons are going to have a great time! ...maybe almost as much fun as Mom & Dad! I'll add your name to the list on the first page of the thread.
What ships have you been on in the past, and where have you sailed? Which port are you looking forward to visiting on our upcoming cruise?
