November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

Congrats Shauna on finding out about your baby girl! That's very cool.

I've got a question though... I know that you can't cruise if you are pregnant in the last trimester or two, but how young of a baby can you bring on board? My husband and I are thinking of having a baby, but weren't sure what the cut off age is for having a baby on board.

And... YAY!! Under 14 months! I can't wait! :woohoo:

You can cruise until you are 24 weeks pregnant, and then again once the baby is at least 12 weeks.

Hi all,
Just booked! This is our THIRD attempt to sail during Jersey Week. We had to cancel for one reason or another, but I am determined to be on the Magic 14 months from now!!! We have never cruised Disney.

Does anyone have any info. about Cabin 2092? I have already checked the stateroom reports (there was only one from 2004), done a search (very little here) and checked the Passporter (has the cabin down as noisy, but not so certain about that!). Any additional info. would be greatly appreciated!

We have been shut out from the First Dinner Seating. Is there a way to switch this once onboard? We have a 6 y.o DS (he will be 7 by the time we cruise) and eating at 8pm.or later is not something he's used to.

TIA!
Looking forward to meeting you all!:goodvibes

Welcome aboard DeeCeeSW! I don't know about your specific cabin, but I was in 2074 and it was great. We loved how easy it was to get to the dining rooms and public areas on decks 3 and 4 (just took the stairs instead of waiting for elevators).

Make sure you get on the waitlist for the early dining. We did that last time and by the time we got to the ship to go change it, we found out that we were already moved to the earlier seating. I don't think you'll have a problem--just waitlist and if it doesn't change by the time you board, you can take care of it once you do board.

You'll love cruising with Disney! Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I didn't know I could waitlist. I'll give DCL a call, thanks!

Ahoy Matey! DeeCeeSW, glad to have you along!

As Stampinshauna said try to waitlist for early seating. Also, Saturday afternoon when you board you can try to change your seating. On one of our cruises there was a family at our table from California for early seating. After the first night they switched to late, because they felt main seating was like having dinner in the middle of their afternoon. A family who didn't want late seating joined us for early seating. Everyone was happy - especially the three girls at our table who became friends!

Thanks, I just called and waitlisted for early seating. 8:00 and after is ok for me and DH, but DS doesn't fare well if he doesn't eat by 6, 6:30 the latest! Hopefully this will be switched before we board.

Just checking in.
Reserved through DU for Nov 1 Jersey Week! :cool1:
This will be our 4th DCL cruise! ages then DS 3 DD 12

Welcome aboard bfosbenner!
Sounds like you're an experienced DCL cruiser. Glad to have you along! Our DD will have just turned 11.

Thanks for the welcome. DD will actually be "almost 12".
Looks like we have some experienced DIS'ers on this thread!

We have a year to get group together! I was with the Turkey Day gang
(Thanksgiving Magic 04) and we had a blast!

We leave thursday eve 9/27 for Old Key West for a few days!:woohoo:

I just logged into my TA's website to check my reservation, and guess what I saw...

ONLY 401 MORE DAYS TO GO!!!

That means in 400 days we'll be celebrating Halloween at MNSSHP.

401 days! :cheer2: I'm so excited!

Welcome aboard fellow cruisers! We'll be having a blast sooner than you know it.

Question - If on my reservation with DU it says my dinner seating is "first", does that mean it's the earlier seating? The Disney Cruise site lists it as the "Main" seating. Just wanted to make sure. Thank you! :thumbsup2

My reservation says the same. A few weeks ago there was a thread with a similar question. Apparently all main dining appears as "first" seating on the reservation. I suppose we will find out which seating when we arrive, along with our rotation...
IN JUST 401 days!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Only 400 days now!

The first dinner seating does mean the earlier seating (5:30, 5:45, and 6:00pm). You'll find out exactly what time and what rotation once you check in at the port. It will be listed on your key to the world card (that you use for charging and your room key, etc).

13 months from this moment we'll be enjoying the "Welcome Aboard!" show!!!

BTW, did anyone else see the Good Morning America contest where the winner gets a DCL cruise, and Castaway Cay to themselves!
http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/BeSeenBeHeard/story?id=3665945
"Good Morning America" and Disney Parks want to give one lucky family a trip to paradise. The winners of the "GMA Family Paradise Contest" will enjoy a six day, five night vacation, which includes a whole day on your own private island in the Caribbean.

:cool1:

Our kids have NO idea and you folks expect me to keep this a secret :lmao: for over 1 year :rotfl:
