Wow! You will need a vacation. My 19 year old didn't want to come with us on this trip so we booked for 4 people only. Go figure, he changed his mind and wants to come along - 3 weeks before we leave. We drive so he could but where will he sleep and now I need another park pass. Will have to change ADRs too.

hehe! My children 18 G, 17 G and 13 B all want friends to tag along at the last minute. At least with friends we can say nope, we need more time to add them on...can't really do that with your own children. hehe

We did take a friend for my daughter - now 14 - last time and it worked out well. My boys 19 & 16 spend all their time together and DD always feels a bit left out. She then wants to do everything with me which leaves my hubby on his own. Maybe I should have had one more.

I'm not Kristina, but we plan to leave between midnight and 2 am. We drive and its 10 hours to drive, plus we have to factor in breakfast and lunch stops as well as potty breaks. So I plan to drive the first half while Dh and the kids sleep and then Dh will take over and drive the rest of the way while I nap a bit. But I plan to sleep after DH gets home from work Friday so I will be rested enough to drive. Normally I wouldn't be able to sleep but I am going to go to bed late Thursday and then get up early Friday and stay busy with last minute things (like paying bills online, last minute laundry and cleaning the house) so I won't get too comfy and doze off and nap during the day.

sounds like our plan for December. dh will probably be working the night of the 20th then we will unload his work stuff, load the car and go.

The last time we drove was in winter when we had 6' of snow so it's was amazing to see the palm trees and sunshine when we hit Georgia. I'm worried that we're going to be disappointed with the cooler temperatures. It's all part of the vacation that you arrive to warm sunshine on your face! I can't imagine sitting in our room waiting for the rain to let up. I know people do it but I don't want to. It is the sunshine state isn't it??

I'll say a little prayer to the weather Gods for you! Here's a four leaf clover for luck!

just get a little poncho and hang out!! a lot of times it just sprinkles, or jsut do something inside (Innoventions at Epcot is great for that!). or would be a good time to do Kali River Rapids, Splash Mountain, etc.

A PM is a private message. You'll know if you receive one by a window that pops up. A BOO is the dancing Mickey pumpkin that is sent from one DISer to another to celebrate Halloween. The tree is for Christmas!

Oh my. Thank you so much for asking. Her shoulders are healing and she is using her arms more (she is sore from doing that), but she is still afraid to sleep. She is afraid she will have another seizure. The drs are trying to get her medicine regulated so her body can get used to it and hopefully that will help. She has finally slept some the past couple night, just not a lot.
Thank you SO much for asking about her.

so last night DBF's best friend came up to see the house and spent the night. (they were up real late so they are both sleeping right now hehehe) Today they are planning to get the fence finished and do other manly things around the house. SO this give me time to do disney stuff. I need to go get some luggage anyone know if they have it at walmart? They had it on their website but i don't know if it is considred an "in store" item. Anyway so i'm going to go get some luggage, maybe run to TJMaxx and get a few new outfits, make a packing list and start packing, then i'm going to sit down with my ADR list and try to figure out somewhat of a game plan for our park schedule. DBF thinks i'm crazy but i don't like his way of doing things. He would pack the night before and without a list if it was up to him so not how i do things!

I got a really nice royal blue huge suitcase at Walmart. I mean HUGE. They did have smaller sizes too but we pack everybody's stuff in one big one suitcase to save space in the back of our van. We've used it on several trips and it's holding up well.

Ooooh, I would love a day to do Disney stuff but I'm off to camp with my Girl Guides. It's raining really hard to they better have boots. Cheers!

I am going to town today to get the last stuff we need. I am so looking forward to this. Its gonna be fun getting the little things and possibly picking up an extra surprise or two for the kiddos.

Yea, that kind of sounds like us. The girls have each other, but then my son is left out. We should have had one more just to make it even, but at least with a friend we can return them afterwards.

Ok, well I waited until the last minute to make our reservations in Savannah in case the shuttle decides to change dates again. I just booked 2 rooms at the Travelodge. So, that's all set!

We'll hit the road at 4am on the 11th and drive to Savannah, check into the Travelodge go to the Pirate House for dinner and take the kids on a ghost tour of Savannah. We'll get up early on the 12th to hit the Airforce Museum and then take off for Disney! WooHoo!!! Hoping to check-in at CBR no later than 5pm.

Maybe we should do what that one astronaut did...all of us just wear depends so we wouldn't have to stop for potty breaks.
