November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

I just checked Accuweather because they have a 15 day forecast and I knew all our days except home travel day would be one it. Here is the forecasted weather for our trip:

Nov. 1 (travel day): High 75 Low 60 Sunny to partly cloudy
Nov. 2: High 75 Low 61 Sunshine and some clouds
Nov. 3: High 78 Low 62 Mostly sunny
Nov. 4: High 79 Low 62 A blend of sunshine and clouds
Nov. 5: High 78 Low 63 Times of sun and clouds
Nov. 6: High 76 Low 62 Cloudy with thunderstorms
Nov. 7: High 79 Low 61 Mostly cloudy with t-storms

Not too shabby! I of course will keep a check on it to make sure it doesn't change, but considering I am used to hotter temps with awful humidity, this weather will be wonderful!

ARGH! that Nov 7 forecast doesn't look too good! That's our arrival day and I hate the thought of driving in the rain! Praying for better weather! We have had solid rain here since last night at 7PM. Now it's wet, gloomy and windy. Wonderful start to a weekend!

We arrive on the 7th too. We were planning on walking the Boardwalk after dinner so if it rains, I hope it does so in the morning & afternoon only. Ok, kinda selfish ;)

Hopefully that forecast will change. It's still a good ways off yet.

The last time we drove was in winter when we had 6' of snow so it's was amazing to see the palm trees and sunshine when we hit Georgia. I'm worried that we're going to be disappointed with the cooler temperatures. It's all part of the vacation that you arrive to warm sunshine on your face! I can't imagine sitting in our room waiting for the rain to let up. I know people do it but I don't want to. It is the sunshine state isn't it??

I'll say a little prayer to the weather Gods for you! Here's a four leaf clover for luck! :shamrock:

1 AM? That's an unusual time to start your vacation travel. Are you really far from the airport or driving?

We live in Sweden, so we have to catch a taxi first to our train which then goes over the Oresund bridge to Denmark when we catch our first flight to Germany, and then from there our flight to Florida! After all that, just one Magical Express ride and we are there :goodvibes!

So that's 4 countries in about 24 hours, and yep, I'm tired already he he :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow !

Hey! I'm near Columbus! Are you guys FREEZING today or what???? It's horrible!

:rotfl2: This sounds soooo familiar. We lived in Copenhagen for 6 years and on one of our trips to Spain we started our trip with taking a taxi to the central station in Copenhagen, Denmark, from there we took a bus to Sturup airport by Malmo, Sweden, and there we catched a flight to London Stansted where we switched airports and went to London Gatwick and from there by plane to Madrid, Spain. We were travelling for almost 20 hours with 3 kids but it saved us LOTS of money :goodvibes

Yea! 8 days (Or should I say 1 week from tomorrow!)

:jumping3: :bounce: :jumping3: :bounce: :jumping3: :bounce: :jumping3: :bounce:

Congrats to you Bama Mom and all you others who are leaving real soon! I want to do all your names individually but I worked the night shift and my eyes are starting to cross so there you go ;). You all deserve a big congratulations for waiting because..well...pretty soon it's....here we go! :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Oh and I am not at all organized this time  !

I am getting super excited, less than two weeks to go for us. I just can't wait :yay: :yay: :cheer2: :cheer2:   :woohoo: :woohoo:

I just put my order in to the Garden Grocer. This is my first time doing this. I was a little nervous, but I read a lot of good things about them. Since we are flying this time, I can't take all the snack food and water we use anyway.

I hope we all have really good weather for our vacation. It is a nasty day here in Nashville. :umbrella:

Yay! So you know! Sturup is near here, I live just outside Lund and planes are always flying overhead. Since they built the bridge over to Denmark it's so easy getting across, and I can't wait to get to the Copenhagen airport. I'm starting our vacation with a middle of the night Frappachino from Starbucks there haha...we don't have a Starbucks :sad2: .

Hey, my DH studied in Lund while we lived in Copenhagen. He just took the train over 3 times a week. Lund is a very charming little city. Loved the cathedral :goodvibes

Have a wonderful trip. Can´t wait to go to Starbucks myself (we don´t have one here either).

Oops! I guess I missed that. LOL And we think driving for 24 hours is long!

I have 2 cases of water in my van right now for our trip (actually there are 36 in the case not the normal 24). I got them Wednesday night before church because they were such a good deal. Tomorrow I am going to get some last minute things like more batteries, moleskin, etc. I will probably get the snacks Wednesday evening after church or Thursday morning so I don't have to get them Friday since I will be busy paying bills and cleaning house that day.

I'm absolutely, totally beat!! I work full time for a local University, am babysitting my grandson and have been busting my rear trying to get this house spotless for this weekend. We're having a birthday party for my husband tomorrow at 6pm and now we just find out that our son's soccer game has been changed to 4:30pm! Aaaaaahhhhhh!!! Not good! LOL I could always tell everyone to just come to the field in the rain to watch soccer instead of the house to eat chili! LOL

Wow! You will need a vacation. My 19 year old didn't want to come with us on this trip so we booked for 4 people only. Go figure, he changed his mind and wants to come along - 3 weeks before we leave. We drive so he could but where will he sleep and now I need another park pass. Will have to change ADRs too.

Just keep dreaming...just keep dreaming...just keep dreaming...:scared1:

Hey Bama,
Just wondering how your MIL is doing? Hope she is feeling better!

Oh my. Thank you so much for asking. Her shoulders are healing and she is using her arms more (she is sore from doing that), but she is still afraid to sleep. She is afraid she will have another seizure. The drs are trying to get her medicine regulated so her body can get used to it and hopefully that will help. She has finally slept some the past couple night, just not a lot.
Thank you SO much for asking about her.
