Nov. 24, 2010 4 Day Wonder Turkey Cruise!

We are booked, just could not pass up Florida resident rates on the navigator rooms. I am trying to get my bearings and ears on what to sign up for but the big "FE" is one I read to sign up to do. And I think my little one will be so excited to do it.
My name is Jamie and my husband Gene and our daughter turning "3" November 28,2010.
We so hope to meet up with other kids, Jules loves playing with other kids and has no fear.:cheer2:

Welcome to the group!! I have been checking w/ DCL every day (including after reading your great post) and according to the agents I've spoken to, no Florida Resident Rates have been offered for this sailing. So, you must have received some magical pixie dust!! :wizard: Enjoy!!

Yes! I have a running list. If anyone has NOT sent me a PM with their cabin number and info on their traveling party, please send it to me. I'll catch the last few people and then send out a complete list via PM.

3 weeks from tonight we'll be flying into Orlando. Can't wait!!

Hi,

Please add us to the FE list.
We just booked tonight and also just joined the forum here so I can not PM you yet.

We do not have a cabin number yet, just a confirmed cabin type.

We are a party of four.
Our two kids are both girls ages 5 and 1.

This sounds like so much fun. We can not wait to meet everyone.

Steven

You are right... Lots of late booking are to be expected..... No lime green shirts needed....

Hi,

A meet and great the first day would be great. We will not get a cabin assigned until we check in at the cruise terminal. We just know it's gtd.
So during the meet and great we can let you know our cabin number and write it in on a master list that is handed out, or I can write it on cards to hand out at the meet.

If we could get each families last name in the final FE list that would be fantastic. We are planning on making personalized gifts.

Thank you for putting all this together.
Steven

Hello All,

We just booked this cruise and are very excited to go for Thanksgiving. This will be our 7th Disney cruise but the 1st during a Holiday. Since some of you have traveled during Thanksgiving, what are the pro and/or cons of eating at Palo's for Thanksgiving?

thanks,

Lori-jo and Sonia

I have never had a CON of eating at Palo's. It is always wonderful. It was even more so on Thanksgiving several years ago. They had several additional specials on the menu.

We will also be on this cruise! DH, DD (18) and me! As this is our daughter's first DCL as an "adult" we are really excited to get to take her to Palo's and Serenity Bay!

We will also be dining at Palo's on Thanksgiving, I was worried that they would have "Pirate Night" on that night, but as per one of the posts here it looks like it's the following night which is great because we've missed it by eating in Palo's on our last 3 Disney cruises!

21 days and counting!

Ok, it seems like we have a few new faces! I am compliling the FE list, so if you have not already sent it to me, please PM me your name, the names of your travel party and ages of kids. Also let me know your stateroom number if you have it!

Should we give a cutoff date on the FE exchange? I'll wait to see who responds to this final request today and then will send out an updated list to everyone tomorrow. That way we can really start planning.

We just booked this morning!!! :-) we cruised on the Magic 2 weeks ago and can't WAIT to cruise on the Wonder again with you all!!!:dance3::woohoo::cheer2:

Jennifer, if you could please put up a post in thread, or link as applicable, w/what the updated FE list looks like we would appreciate it...we are headed to Orlando next week and may take care of FE stuff while there....

DH, DS (13) and myself will be cruising...staying at the Radison Tuesday night (arriving VERY VERY late/early) and shuttling over Wednesday morning. Any Meet & Greets planned?? I have a friend who is the General Sales Manager of Senior Frogs in Nassau if anyone would like to perhaps PM me about a private party there for a few hours??!! :-) I haven't even attempted to read back through posts, but hope to have time to do that soon.

Well the only downside that I can think of to having Palo for T'Giving is that you will likely miss either a traditional meal (if you want one) or miss out on some of Palo's specialties....also, if, like us, you are also doing the brunch on Friday for the day at sea, back-to-back Palo meals can be hard on the stomach due to the quantity you are likely to consume...

Thus we have Palo brunch on Friday and dinner on Saturday...also, one can easily do both palo and Pirate's Night so long as you sit down to eat by about 8pm...we have done that before...though personally, I can limit Pirate's to the last 10 minutes or so...but then this is our 11th Disney cruise..

For those who are new to the thread, the previously suggested Dis-Meet would be Deck 10 Starboard (overlooking the pier) right after the mandatory drill and just before the Sail-a-way party....

Also, Wendy's husband and I will be very easy to spot both on Deck 10 and at the port (or anywhere else I suppose) as we are both about 6'8" tall...

I would really think about Senor Frogs.... I will have my DD 11 with us as we are out and about on the island that day.

We have several Tweens traveling in our group.

Our DS will most likely stay on board...we aren't big Nassau fans anyway and just plan to walk around a bit then head to Senor' Frogs around 3:00 for about 2 hours...emailing with the GM right now for a price/discount rate...:cool1: We just decided this morning to book the cruise, so I'm now scrambling to get details worked out!!:rotfl::rotfl: I LOVE IT!!!

Jennifer:

That would be a big help... We are finishing our shopping ordering this weekend.

Good Luck with everything... Planning is really part of the fun I think.
We are not big Nassau fans either. We have some neighbors who will be down during the holiday so we are going to visit with them....
