I could use a little nappy-nap myself. Got room for a thorougbred? I promise I won't accidently roll over and crush the duck. I have, however, been known to break promises.

For the sake of our friendship, I will ignore the glue-boy comment. Although I will store it in the computer-like recesses of my frontal lobe for future use if necessary. And I will admit - "glue-boy" - that's very funny. I always appreciate good comedy. Even from a angry duck. Especially from an angry duck (whatever that means).

Don't you seriously wish Americans got siesta time? In Japan (or China), they take 2-3 hours off in the middle of the day to nap and just generally re-charge the batteries. This country is way too type A for me. Nighty-night..

Not only about naps, but vacations, etc as well. I want "holidays" not just a week here or there (most companies here won't allow you to take more than a week at a time if you even have that option).

Why is it that I am more sleepy now? Maybe I need someone to jolt me awake. Anyone up for the job?

Hi all,
I decided to call the school yesterday and ask for him, assuming if he was ill or otherwise unavailable they would say so. The reply I got was "He is usually here on Tuesday, would you like to leave a message?". I said no, I'd call back Tuesday (today). I called today and they said something like "He comes in sometimes on Tuesday but not always". This time I left a message.

All I can say is that's my kind of job -- come in on Tuesdays, or maybe not!

BTW Rash is clearly nothing more (and nothing less!) than Mr. Ed's illegitimate grandchild. I was going to say illegitimate child but it's been too many years for that. Now I feel old! But you should see his keyboard, with each key 8 inches in diameter...

Maybe you could petition the the DIS to start a "Milk-Carton Board". A place where missing Disers Screen names and avatars could be posted until they are found.

Sounds to me like this guy has been creeped-out or just plain scared-off, and it's probably time for this thread to go the way of Greenban himself.

This post has me feeling defensive and I feel compelled to say that if I didn't meet Tony and his family I would never have contacted him outside of the DIS boards. I was sincerely worried about him, and was afraid something happened (a la richyams). I just wanted us all to know he was OK, or conversely I wanted to let everyone here know if something terrible happened. He was SO active on the boards and then suddenly vanished, it seemed so odd. And BTW if he was "creeped out or scared off' it happened BEFORE I called him, not after, as I didn't make the call until he was missing for more than a month.

As I have shared with a couple of others in emails and PM's I ended up feeling really stupid. Here I was frantic with worry and in the end it does indeed look like Greenban just decided he didn't want to play with us anymore.

I don't think J.F. meant it like that, but only he can say exactly what was meant there.

I do think that people come and go from the internet for a variety of reasons. It could be anything from a new firewall keeping him away at work to the wife deciding (for what ever reason) that she wasn't happy with his level of participation here. I am most certain it was nothing about you personally or any of us that are on this board. Things happen. Maybe a site came up at home that caused a riff. Maybe he has no way of calling long distance from work and isn't comfortable calling from home. Maybe he DID decide it was stupid and he wasn't coming back (this one I find hard to believe...that he wouldn't at least let you know since you had met him). I keep hoping for at least an email or a pm to you or someone else to let everyone know he is ok. Sadly, like Dr. Tomorrow, he might just be gone for no real reason to us, but a very real one to him.

Don't take it personally hun. You seem like a great person and I am sure that everyone here KNOWS it had nothing to do with you or DeeDeeDis.

Because I'm a casual thread reader, I don't remember the details, but wasn't there a thread that Greenban posted regarding his April trip that a few took offense to? (I know that's hard to imagine.)

Anyhow, maybe he's reluctant to post. I have to admit there's a few things written on this board from time to time that cause me to quit typing, at least for a while. It's just easier to take a break.

True, but it seemed to be gotten over...but that was when he stopped coming in. You can see when people actually check in and I think he has only signed in here once since then and didn't post anything or answer pm's or emails, etc.
