Wow -went away for a couple days, came back to a bunch of well wishes from everyone. Thanks very much! It's nice to have so many "virtual" friends.

The problem is though, that I don't know what town he lives in, only that it's in Northern NJ. I do know his complete name, but it's sort of common.

So although I have an idea of where he lives, I don't know exactly....

That helps tremendously, excellent detective work! Now I know for sure that the number I called WAS tony/greenban's number. I did a search on Anywho.com using the info I had (his whole name and area of NJ) and Sparta was indeed what I came up with and the number I called and left a message on the machine that picked up.

So I guess we've done all we can. Tony is either chosing to disenage from the DIS for some reason or some fate has befallen him that precludes him being here. If I do ever get a call back I'll be sure let you all know.

Thanks so much all5ofus, it doesn't solve the mystery but at least I definitely know I was looking in the right place now.

Rash - Yes, we have a lot of "virtual" friends here. What does that say about us? (of course, per the Hanname thread, I know it means I'm #4 in the needs to get a life category). It's sad that a talking horse has more of a life than me.

I guess they deleted your thread because I got a couple notifications of posts this am and when I tried to access the thread, I got a notification that it was an invalid thread. So, they closed the IYKWIM thread but they deleted the Where the Hanname is Greenban thread

It may have been the colorful meanings attached to Hanname
