I used to read trip reports a lot and there was this one poster named scooby something that had cancer and it had recently came back. She had a daughter and was a single mom. I think her daughter was around 18 to 20. I just wondered how she was doing. If anyone has any info it would be great. I really hope she is doing okay. Oh yeah, she got bit by a snake on the foot at her house on her birthday

Oh, my goodness! It's such a nice surprise to see my DIS friends thinking about me. Thanks so much for your concern! You don't know how nice it is to see such caring from you guys.

I haven't been on the boards much lately & (hangs head in shame ) I never did finish my last trip report.

For those wondering, I'm doing okay. I had a bad time of it these last few months with some intensive chemo that ended just a few weeks ago. I'm doing better - still tired & worn down, but in good spirits! Hopefully, this last batch will give good results. Since it's metastasized to the bones, they tell me they can't cure it, but I can live with cancer as long as the therapies slow it down.

My DD20 is doing okay as well. We have been through the ringer with her trying to find out what's going on. I just got back from going with her to yet another Dr. appointment. Her symptoms are classic for MS, but they can't find any definitive results to prove she has the disease.

She's on tons of medication to try to treat the various symptoms, but is still having trouble with muscle weakness, short term near-paralysis & chronic pain. All her MRI's and other tests have come back negative for Lupus or MS as well.

She's getting pretty frustrated at having no answers, as am I. I've been through this with my Lupus diagnosis - took them 10 years to finally find out what was wrong with me.

So, long story (kinda) short - we're in a waiting game. Waiting to either show the correct symptoms for an Rx or for the symptoms to get better. Your prayers & thoughts are very much appreciated!

In the meantime, we try to keep our spirits up & take it easy on ourselves.

Luckily, I got a PIN email that I hope to use for a trip to WDW this Spring! This is the one for 35% off moderates/40% off deluxe. DD wants to stay at POR again - her favorite - so we're gonna aim for that! A WDW trip anticipation is just the right medicine to keep us feeling hopeful. I'm still working the numbers, but I'm feeling pretty good that we'll be able to swing it with the discount.
