Not sure where to post.... DVC member card

Hello!

Do they send you a member card, so many months after you buy? Or do you have to go on and request the card? Any time I went to look it would only give a 3 month date on the card. Or is that the new normal? We bought in November.

Direct or resale? If direct, call MS and request your blue card. If resale, you don't get a card other than the 3 month white online card.

Ah thank you! We bought direct! Just seemed like they would be here by now, but whenever I go look on the site it comes up request a replacement card when starting to submit.

I would call the DVC guide that sold you the points. They should be able to help. How long ago do you close on the direct buy?

Hmm I want to say it was the end of November, just after thanksgiving

You can download a 3 month card from the web site. Typically they send out cards once every 3 months, they are or were done by a 3rd party.
If you get to WDW before that you can get your card from the sales center at SSR.

When we purchased direct last year in mid- February, we got our cards late April. We didn't request them, they just came. They were in the process of sending everyone new cards so I don't know if that made a difference.

The online card has a changing expiration so you can use it ongoing.

I'd just submit for the replacement online. No harm in that - it's not going to cancel anything that might eventually show up.

Cards are processed by an outside contractor in batches, they apparently have minimums before they make a run. November seems like a long time though. Just request the cards again, maybe they got lost.

I thought it was said they weren't printing cards onsite anymore when they switched the cards last year and created the online printable one.

We Closed back in January and are still waiting for our cards.

We bought direct the end of November as well. I asked our guide to set up our online accounts and he requested our cards at that time. He allowed us to take a picture of the card to use for our annual pass purchases (which guest services at MK accepted). I received my first card within 10 days of the sale (I am primary on the contract). I got a second card about 6 weeks later just after DH got his first. The second cards came shortly after the deed was recorded.

If your guide didn't request the card (and it wasn't done during your phone orientation) you should definitely call member services as was suggested above! Hope you get this sorted out soon.
