I know it has been asked a million times before but I am unsure if online check in is for me. Here is my situation... Can you tell me what you would do?

Staying at POR, booked Garden View and made request on reservation to be in Magnolia Bend. There are only 3 of us. We will check in around 10 AM. Plan to fax a room request asking again to be in Magnolia Bend on the "riverside" of the buildings instead of the "parking lot side" if possible. Also requesting a corner room. I'll be thrilled to get these requests but honestly am so excited to be staying there again I could probably sleep in a chair at the food court and be happy, LOL! So.... knowing this, is there a disadvantage to checking in online? An advantage? I guess if we hate the room location assigned at online check in we could speak to someone in the regular check in line? I think I'm beginning to over think everything. I am at 23 days out and starting to feel a little on edge, LOL! :hyper: So what would you do?
:confused3

Yes, you can still do online check in. When I book a trip, if I have a request, I always call and make that request. In the past when I did online check in there was not a spot for "room requests". This past August when I did online check in there was a spot for "room request". It may say you need to call. So I ended up calling again to make sure they still had my room request, sure enough they did! When we got to the resort it took 5-10 minutes at the most to get our room keys and our request had been granted.
So really, either way would be fine. I just prefer online check in because in my experience things go a little faster once you get to the resort, plus I must admit that I like saying "I'm checked in", lol.

We booked a GV room last year, and I requested an upper floor in either Acadian House or Magnolia Terrace close to Old Man Island bridge. I got a great location in Acadian House. Love being near the bridge, close to all amenities. Good luck.
