Trader Sams disappearing within seconds

We have tried on 3 separate days this week to get a TS reservation for 60 days time. We are in the UK so were on looking prior to 6am your time. On each occasion, spot on 6am, the date in 60 days time opened and IMMEDIATELY all slots were taken. Now we all know this is highly unlikely, so who/how are all the reservations disappearing at once and what are Disney doing about it? There were 2 of us trying, one looking for table for 2 and one for 3 to cover both options!

Trader Sam's inside is super small so there are barely any reservations available and they do go quick. The walk up waitlist is easy to join and the wait isn't too long depending on when you go. We always mange to go there once or twice each trip by joining the wait list.

Seconding @tlovedis! We weren't able to book an ADR in late September but we did get a table inside via the waitlist twice. The wait time was 10 minutes the first time and 45 minutes the second time. Not bad at all. Good luck

(Also, for what it's worth: we asked a cast member there why the reservations seemed to disappear immediately. They told us that TS was not currently taking reservations at all; just walk-up. We got reservations several years back, though, so I don't know how new this policy is or how long it will be around.)

Try this: start your search just after midnight pacific time instead of 6am for Trader Sam’s. (If works..can’t give you a reason but that’s how it’s happening).

I dont get why they make bars so small

There is a clear demand for them, like I don't get if your company wants more money they just refuse to make bigger areas to grab drinks. The Pirates and Star Wars bars are other examples of this

I think it’s closed that week. There’s been plans/permits filed for a small upgrade to lighting effects etc. I’ve been searching for the last 5 days between 3am PST before it opens at 6am. I’m not in that time zone was keep a close eye on it as was my husband.

They’ve also announced the holiday mixology class for the week before Thanksgiving which seems a little early to me, personally. I know the holiday season has obviously kicked off by then but that feels like an early December thing to me, after Thanksgiving.

Just my thoughts, I haven’t heard anything about a little closure. It just makes sense to me, there’s no way I missed the opening 5 days in a row.

I have been trying for the past few days.


I open the app before 6am. Can't even click the day.


At 6am, the app opens and immediately none available. For any party size. If it was people taking up all the reservations, I'd at least see them, click them, and a message saying "Sorry, unable at this time." Or some such.


This is only happening for Trader Sams. I was able to get two other ADRs at other locations.


My advice is to check back from time, look at the disboards, and failing everything just walk up.

It is very likely they are snatched up in seconds. It happens pretty much every day. When it comes to TS micro-seconds count.

This was my understanding as well. But others have said that it was just for WDW.

Trader Sam's Holiday Mixology Seminar will be on November 17 and 19 at 4 pm, 6 pm and 9 pm. $179 per adult not including tax and gratuity. Reservations open on October 16.

Last time I'll update on this situation, but again I was logged on at 6am when the day opened but nothing for any size party was available for Trader Sams.

I hope it does go back to walk ups only. It was like that for years, and always worked for us. Disney create this demand by making you book via a reservation.

I understand you have to be quick but I visit every year in early December and always manage to snag 2 for the week we are there. You do have to be quick but I’ve never missed out like this.
