2020 has some good Canadian Resident discounts right now. I am thinking about doing 2, 3-nights next August with 2 nights on land in between. The first cruise is a 3 night on the Fantasy, followed by 2 nights AirBnB in the Canaveral area for shopping, beaching and sightseeing with a car rental. Then another 3 nights on the Dream. It would be me, DH and 2 DS(11 and 13 at travel time). There is another 3 night Dream that times right with the second cruise so that was my original plan. I am gearing to this one because the Fantasy itinerary has a sea day which would mean Palo brunch. Plus I could watch both shows. Any thoughts? Would this feel too rushed or choppy?

I don’t personally love the three night cruise. It seems like you just get on and then you’re getting back off. For me, it would be too much moving around and less relaxation time. However, a three night is better than ZERO nights!!!

Any way you could swing a seven night? Then you get on, unpack and relax for a glorious week!!!

We are doing one of those 3 night Dream CDN resident rates cruises as well (August 24), I was hoping to do a B2B with the August 27th cruise, also on CDN resident rate, but DH instead suggested we fill the week with Disney Springs/Blizzard Beach and Kennedy Space Centre instead. I believe the 3 (and possibly 4) night Dream cruises offer Palo on Nassau day (we are actually going to try Remy for dinner this time around).

Honestly, I think this sounds like an amazing idea other than the getting on and off one ship and then repeating the same thing a few days later.

Both ships vary enough for me to where you'd have a great time with the different entertainment and different ships. It would be awesome to see all the different shows in such a short time frame! A few things will most likely be similar if not the same (AKA: Dining menus are usually the same between the Dream and the Fantasy for the shorter cruises). Two days at castaway is also great. It gives you more time to relax.

I would definitely go for it with the two sailings and a break in the middle if you can swing it/if it makes sense financially.

My wife and I had booked almost B2B cruises this fall. 5 night Bermuda cruise out of NYC. 1 non-cruise day, then 8 night Caribbean cruise out of Port Canaveral. Unfortunately, due to a health issue, had to cancel both of them, and I had not purchased trip insurance :-(

So sorry to hear that. I hope you’re ok.

Just be wary of concentrating your vacation on multiple cruises amidst the possible hurricanes. It's a tricky time of the year - partly why those cruises have discounts on them.

I didn't originally notice that your plans would include 2 different ships. Have you been on them both previously? If not, I think this is a fun idea to get to experience them both. As previous poster mentioned dining will be similar, but your shows will be different - Beauty and the Beast on the Dream, Aladdin and Frozen on the Fantasy. Sounds awesome to me!

I first thought you were crazy, and then on second read, I see you're on both the Dream and Fantasy. This sounds GREAT!

For next year, we’ve had an opening-day booking on a Fantasy 7-night cruise from Port Canaveral. Not too long ago, a Wonder 7-night from San Juan became available with an excellent OGT rate that we couldn’t resist. So we’ll arrive back to PC on a Saturday, drive to MCO, fly to SJ that afternoon, then board the Wonder the next day (Sunday). Not exactly back-to-back, but we think it will be an interesting way to do two great cruises on one 2-week vacation, plus have the chance to experience two different ships and itineraries.
