We are hitting MK for one day only, November 20th. The park closes at 7pm for the party, but I'm wondering how late I am able to get in line for a ride. If we get in line at 6:45, but the line is an hour long, do they go through and kick me out then? Just trying to plan in a most efficient way to maximize our ride opportunities. We aren't trying to attend the party that we haven't paid for. Thanks!

You will be able to get in line for an attraction anytime before 7:00 pm. Once you get off the attraction you will then have to exit the park.

Disney won't go through a line you are already in at 7:00 and start checking for the party bands. You will get to enjoy the attraction and then once you exit the attraction, you will be guided to the park exit. So relax and have a good time!

... you will be guided to the park exit...

And, to the best of my knowledge, they will not put a bag over your head and throw you into the back of a large truck with all the other people who are still in the park but haven't paid for the hard ticket event.

Although we all know they should...

:rotfl2:

They will walk you to the exit but you will not be treated like a criminal.

Thanks, all.

We are Californians and have experienced Christmas at Disneyland without the additional party ticket. They have snow on main street, fireworks, Santa, and a holiday parade all included in admission. The limitations for holiday fun at WDW are kind of off-putting. But, hey! I'm glad we will get to experience the park if only for one day. Trying to look at the plus side.

Last year at the Halloween party I noticed several people without bands trying to wait on parade. The CM kept telling them to leave, but they acted like they didn't speak English and just continued to sit there. Eventually another CM forced them to exit.

Long story short...ride the ride, have fun, and exit the park as soon as you are finished.

And make sure you use the restroom before you get in line for the ride, because if it is after 7 when you are done you won't be allowed to use the restroom either.

Yes, CM's ACTIVELY look at peoples wrists for at least a few hours after 7PM and are stationed everywhere.

I'd like to witness CMs using cattle prods or tasers to get party crashers to exit. And yes, they SHOULD put bags over their heads lest they get a glimpse of the forbidden activities. ;)

That's one upcharge event I'd gladly pay double for!! :)

Actually it's highly unlikely anyone will be waiting to escort you out...more likely you will on your own walk toward the exit. If you try to go a way that takes you deeper into the park then you will be stopped (there are often people barriers of CMs checking for wristbands as you enter into different lands) and told to turn around (really seriously nicely). It's only becomes a problem when you try to go on rides etc and refuse to turn around and leave.

Sometimes people leaving eating establishments later than 7:05 are walked out but again it's not any big deal.

Actually it is a big deal. People pay a lot for the parties, and it is not at all right for people to linger if they have not paid to be at the party. And I'm glad Disney sees it as a bigger deal than you do. When I was at a party a couple of weeks ago they checked for wrist bands multiple times.

Please don't make it sound as if it is ok if guests without tickets hang out. It is not!

I think she said getting walked out is no big deal.

OP here.

I was simply asking how late I can enter a line, similar to asking how late I can enter a line any other day that isn't MVMCP. I realize there are shortened hours, but it's unreasonable to close up shop and expect all people without wristbands to actually be out of the gates by the time 7 rolls around. When the parks close at midnight, I'm sure people remain in line for some time afterward. I never said I wanted to be there for the party and get something for nothing.

Have you considered going to the Party rather than purchasing a regular ticket? You can enter at 4:00 and enter a ride line at 11:59 for your last ride of the night. Being a DL vet, there are a lot of things that are the same that you can skip and still do the majority of the rides during the Party because ride lines are shorter.

That is not what I said at all. I have gone to three Halloween parties this year so far and am going to two Christmas parties. I have gone to many parties each year and I know exactly how it goes. I am saying that people are not kicked out of the park or escorted out of the park until it becomes necessary. The cast members give just an opportunity to leave the park on their own in an orderly fashion. Many of these posts claim that guests are escorted out in an almost a humiliating manner as they step off of a ride at 7:01 PM and that is just not the case. I do not advocate people staying for parties that they have not paid for and I did not mean for it to sound that way in my post

In my experience they start looking for wrist bands a while before the party starts. And they then inform guests that they need to leave by 7 pm. So while they may not push you to the front, they do some gentle nudging.

You can get in line until 6:59pm for rides. For some characters, they close off the line early or won't let you get in line in the character doesn't come out until after 7pm or they are an exclusive party characters (like the Princesses with their Princes) Last year, we saw CM's ask people to leave the line for Merida if they didn't have a Party Wristband. This was at about 6:40pm and she wasn't coming out until after 7pm.

I have no problem with them informing people ahead of 7 that they need to leave by 7, as long as they still allow people to enter the lines as they should.
