But it IS hard to understand for a casual guest. On a normal operating day, closed means sorta closed. No rides or attractions, but you can dwaddle a bit, or maybe get a snack or use the restroom. Disney communicates NOTHING about this not being the case for party nights.
Why would someone think they could stay, when others have paid extra to be there?

Maybe it would be better if Disney went back to kicking day guests out at 6 pm, and left the hour buffer before the party for only those guests with wrist bands. After 6 pm you were moved back towards main street. They had check points, and if you didn't have a wrist band you didn't get past them. For example if your crossed over the bridge by the Crystal Palace, you couldn't get back towards Adventure Land. Once out of that section, you were out. And moved towards the exit.
