I had pre-eclampsia with my DS9. At 30 weeks, it was severe enough for me to be hospitalized. Spent the next 4 weeks there, delivering him via emergency c-section as I had developed HELPP syndrome. Today, it's hard to tell that he was 4# when we brought him home. No long term complications whatsoever.
With DS4, I was considered high risk because of my history. My OB put me on a regiment of a baby aspirin a day -- which I continued until he was born -- full term. I did have problems at times with my blood pressure spiking -- like when I sat in the waiting room at the OB waiting for an ultrasound for 2 1/2 hours -- only to find out the OB decided I could wait until the next visit for the u/s

. They watched me very, very closely. I had visits 3X per week starting in my 6th month. I did a lot of bedrest at home. Whether that helped, whether the baby aspirin helped, we'll never know.
What I'm trying to say is each pregnancy is different. If you worry about your blood pressure, of course, it's going to be elevated when you go into the OB. I have a case of "white coat syndrome" -- never fails my blood pressure is always higher when I first get to the doctors office. Maybe you want to check into getting a home blood pressure machine and checking it daily, keeping track of the results and take them with you to the OB.
I know it's hard, especially with Nathan still being so young and needing you. I hope everything works out and will keep you in my thoughts.
