not a fan of fast pass plus

Lol lol and then there's the book! Great book. Bought it for Granddaughter when she was young.
(Everybody Poops. It's excellent, informative and very matter of fact)

I'm gonna guess here though that the objections are that they believe I used the ess word for poop, which I will leave them guessing whether I did or not. :)

You didn't MN ;) I saw your post on there. Mine was removed too. My comment was that I was most upset about the lack of apology. I was there mid November for a week. The MDE app did not work on my tablet at all. I wasted an incredible amount of vacation time, but the worst part of it was..... I was always treated like I WAS THE ONLY ONE HAVING A PROBLEM. :furious:

I know people have said they feel bad for offsite guests not being able to book Fast Pass in advance. (And offsite are not happy about it either). Personally with all these magic band glitches and testing I am ok with having the RFID cards .... riding what I want at rope drop... then scheduling the rest of my day later if available. I hope it gets sorted soon.

Now you two are tempting me to go on there and post a commercial for Oops! I crapped my pants. There is just so damn much Magic that sometimes you just don't wannna miss a thing...

I am sad that it seems that people staying off property are punished in a sense on the new fast pass + system. And the whole "tiering" thing is scary as well. Not cool.

I guess that it's good that the DIS isn't quite as strict about certain words as Disney. ;)

I will be staying offsite come August and its not so much Fast Pass+ that is bothering me.

Its not so much the fact that come February I will need to book where I plan to eat in 6 months.

Add them up and its not a vacation. Its work. A schedule that I must keep to.

That bothers me. And even more so as I am a newb. I don't know how long it will take to get there, eat and get to a ride. What happens if I am on time for my ADR yet the restaurant messes up and makes me wait 30 minutes and I am late to my ride by 10 minutes? Is that my fault? I mean I was on time for my ADR?

To me Disney is making it so I need to stay on site. ADR's are 180+10, FP+ can be booked early, EMH, etc. Yes I get the perks but at what cost?

People have been posting that the FP+ times are kept far away from your listed ADR's. I suppose that that will help.

I know what you mean about offsite. It's really something else isn't it?

Can I make a suggestion that has helped me over the last day or two? After having spent many hours at concierge and many many more in my room trying and trying to sort things out I finally just put the phone down and stopped.
I gave up. Plain and simple just left the website, logged out of the app and I haven't looked back.

Now I often have my nose buried in my phone texting of otherwise researching or checking some details about sonething we're interested in doing but I confess the amount of time spent using the new app associated with the fastpass+ system was far beyond the quantity of time I spend just generally poking around on the phone.
And the battery suckage associated with the app...well just holy cow!

So far we are just hoping to continue to discover kind and helpful cast members and that we will be able to find plenty of reservations open.

I should add that today was our first full day of no dining reservations and only one fastpass ride reserved. We had no problem doing walk in restaurant reservations and frankly the stand by lines for rides were always so much shorter than the FP+ that we did just fine without any Ressies.

I hope that puts your mind to rest a little bit.

THANKYOU! Exactly! I do understand that they can't just admit that other people are having problems but it was oddly upsetting thinking at first that I was the only one having glitches.
After hearing other stories I felt relief...it's good to not be alone (but at the same time dang bummer! ... other people are having issue too. Talk about mixed feelings huh? Yay I'm not alone oh wait we're all having issues? Awww poop! Lol lol

Well, that is no longer an issue for my family. We normally had two TS each day. The decline in food choices and quality, plus the ridiculous price increases have limited our sit downs to maybe two a week. Now, they've added a $10 penalty (no excuses) per person, if you don't cancel the day before..YIKES! If I woke up with a virus, we'd take a $70 hit for ONE meal! We just buy groceries and eat most meals in the room.

 Although, we may choose NOT to add the PH, which will give us extra time and $$$. We can use our savings to eat and shop OFFSITE. Che è una buona idea! :thumbsup2

Seriously ??? "Pooped" you think "pooped" is a "bad" word and should be moderated !??!?!?! LOL that's pretty fricken hilarious ... or um ... pretty darn tootin' hilarious ?

No. You're right. It's totally acceptable for an adult to use this language to try to make a serious (?) point on a well-respected company's official FB page. As long as that adult's goal is to be ignored and dismissed, at best. :thumbsup2

I'm not offended by it - that's silly. More like embarrassed for an adult who expresses themselves this way when presumably trying to be taken seriously. I think Disney did that potential-FB-poster a favor by not having that ridiculous sentence posted next to what is presumably their real name.

It is perfectly acceptable, i understood exactly what she was saying and took her post perfectly seriously. But its ok you can choose to try and diminish someone for their word choice instead of paying attention to the content of their comments if that is what works for you.

I'm not going to get into an argument over what kind of language is or isn't acceptable. But I do have to say that most online sites are moderated by programs first, not people, and there is a whole dictionary of terms they will disallow even if those words are used in a nice way. In re-reading a person may let it through, but I doubt with all those posts they're getting that anyone has the time to do that.

So my suggestion, if you really want your views to be heard, is to only use language that will get past the moderators.

Yup. Guess we'll agree to disagree!

Word choice matters -- at least to most people. Plenty of people expressed their FP+ displeasure appropriately on that FB post -- thus their ability to have their concerns heard. It's just a reality -- the way one says something matters... to most. :)

Agreed. I wasn't arguing "acceptable" or not. Program or person, hard to imagine a legitimate company letting that language through on their official site.
