Noseeums aka biting midges

Can someone tell me when the season is for those dreaded Noseeums...in Florida?
I have resies for OKW Aug 19-29 then Vero Beach 29-3rd.
I am hoping to avoid those nasty critters...will I be lucky?
And do repelants work.

I can help you with the first part. The season runs only from January 1 to December 31. Outside of those dates, you'll be fine.

I believe repellants work, but I rarely wear repellant, so I cant tell you for sure. I know the repellants advertise that they work.

Off is useless against the non see ums, which can be terrible at VB during the summer. Most seasoned VB guests swear by Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard.
