2 questions. Does anyone know if a girls youth XL Denali is similiar in size to an women's small. I am looking to purchase one for my niece who is 5'1" and about 100 lbs. Also any good websites or stores that have great deals

I just bought myself a girls XL Denali this weekend! I am 5'2" and weigh 128. The coat was like $70 less than a women's !


The only issue 'could' be arm length. It's perfect for me and my arms are short, but if my arms were any longer, the sleeve length would bug me.

A girl XL is a bit larger than the adult small but smaller than an adult med. I bought my DD's last two from moosejaw.com

I got her a black Denali from them for like 70.00 a few weeks back. Also check REI.

my 14 yr old can wear either a girls xl or a women's small. With the previous websites, I'd like to give a shout out to klmountainshop.com. They had free shipping, and our coats arrived in 2 days. Plus, if you can live with last year's colors, they have a lot of coats in their "sale" category.

Last month I ordered 5 North face jackets from klmountainshop.com. Shipping was fast, free and the grand total was around $390!! That's great considering 2 were men's and 1 was a women's.

My dd has a girl's XL and she thinks it's too big for her. She's 5'3" and weighs 110 lbs. If I can find as good a deal as I got the first one, I'm thinking of getting her a girls large and keeping the xl in case she grows some.

My daughter can wear a child's XL or a women's small also. I bought her a women's triclimate 3-in-1 North Face jacket from backcountry before she left for college and we got an awesome deal. The jacket has come in handy because she has had a rainy fall on campus and has also had two snows in the past two weeks.

I just bought two yesterday for $87 each from a local store running a sale. I got a Kids L for DD13 and a Kids XL for DD12.

Hoppe they fit.

eta - I'm glad to hear that teens like the kids coats. They are definitely cut a bit larger than the womens coats, but for the price difference, I can't see caring all tha much.

XL should definitely fit her.

I have a girls XL Denali and I'm 5 7", 130 lbs.

The sleeves are just the right length for me, but I wouldn't want them any shorter.

I bought DH's denali from sunnysports.com last year for a great deal. I was looking for an Oso hoodie for me this year on their site and noticed a button that said something like "name your target price" or something like that. You click on it and enter your email address and the target sale price you are willing to pay. For example, the oso is $140 retail. I entered "$99" in my target price box. That means they will notify me if the price drops to $99. I got an email from them today saying the lowest they could go was $90.45 for the jacket I wanted. I had to call to get that price. That's $50 OFF any color I want!! I forwarded the email to my DH as a Christmas gift nudge.

My son needed an new jacket and of course, wanted a North Face denali. Ordered on Sunday afternoon from sunnysports.com and the jacket arrived on Tuesday afternoon. Retail price in stores is $179. (He wears men's sizes.) I paid $114.95. I was pretty happy!
