Do you mean Stonehenge ;-) This is great to go and see but a similar in my opinion far more atmospheric and interesting site is Avebury and surrounding landscape; its not that far from Stonehenge. There is Silbury Hill, lots of burial mounds etc very very interesting

I used to know loads about this period of history until I had a baby - now my mind is a constant blur!

Where will you King Arthur visits take you?
It was me that mention the Premier Inn in Dover ..... nice, tidy, clean and new when we stayed there 4/5 years ago.
Just checked the location of the Ramada, it always looks a bit scruffy on the outside but thats nothing to go by really .... its probably 15 mins to the docks for the cruise. Not so far if you want to visit Dover Castle - well worth a whole day if you have time
A nightmare about your computer tho, I would be lost without the ton of information on mine, a timely reminder to run another backup when I get home .....

ps we're strugging with the emotional side of planning/ not planning for something we desperately want but in the end might not work out either :-( just depends on the exchange at the time I guess and noone can tell that at the moment.
