Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Happy Anniversary! Why is it too early to look at air? British Airways has their flights out to the end of June. Anyone here experienced with British Airways? I have heard that Air France people are rude! LOL>

Air Canada finally has it's flights till the end of June 2010.....some airlines are not offering any until 340 days out...right now we are looking at $4000 for the three of us....think I will wait a bit to see if the rates will come down a bit

Jason & I flew BA in '07 for the TA and loved it. We flew in Premium Economy, which is a step between coach and first. A separate cabin with nice big seats. We experienced excellent service, much better than with any of the domestic airlines. I definitely recommend them.

We have flown on BA a couple times. We usually use Virgin Atlantic because it goes conveniently from Orlando to Gatwick.

I looked at Virgin as well before we went with BA for that trip. The reason we went with BA is because they fly out of more cities than Virgin.

I looked at BA just a few minutes ago and they aren't showing the flights available that we need to fly from Huntsville to London. That just completely boggles my mind b/c unless they've changed the routes it would be just one less stop than what we flew to get to Barcelona. We flew Huntsville to DFW to London Gatwick to Barcelona. So I wonder what changed?

Well, I booked BA premium economy nonstop Atlanta to London for the dates that I needed today. I will pick up a one-way from London to Barcelona for the Med later as they are running about 140 per ticket and I want to make sure that the flight times are fixed before getting that leg. I would have just booked the multi-city from Atlanta but it was 2200 MORE!!! Weird!

We're waiting for Delta......popcorn::

I was going to go that route too, but, I really think I need the extra room in premium economy. Had the price not been so attractive, I might have waited for Delta too.

Good Evening Cruisers!

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes! After kayaking, we watched the Tour, then dinner, now watching movie.

Have a great evening all!

Yes, it's amazing that internal flights in Europe are so cheap! But try to add a leg from the US and it;s ridiculous!

I'm hoping I can convince dad to go with BA this time. After the nightmare we had with Delta flying to and from Italy in May, I really would rather not fly Delta international again. They couldn't get anything right.

I think you'll be really happy with the premium economy. I know we really enjoyed having the extra space and the service was outstanding. It was nice to actually be able to recline back without fear that you would be reclining into someone's lap. It's one of the few times I've actually slept on a plane.

We're using Delta because of the points we have and the time of the flight. There is one that leaves at 10pm and arrives around 12pm in London. We are hoping that Brent will sleep a little(he didn't sleep one minute from Barcelona) and if not by the time we get to the hotel we only should have a couple of hours before we all can get some sleep! It's direct so that helps too.

You're lucky you have the points. It would be nice, but we don't travel enough, or at least not far enough to build up the points we would need for an international ticket.

BA out of Atlanta isn't that bad. It was actually about even with Delta's prices for coach. The only problem is how do we get to Atlanta, drive or fly?

Congrats!!!! Where's it going to? That's the day after we get to WDW. That will be a nice way to unwind after Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping.

And the loss of the Alabama game on the 27th!!! It's on the Wonder. A girlfriend and I are going. I have never been on a DCL cruise without Brent so this should be fun with no kids! I can do adult things this time.

I just booked a cruise for Nov.29th!!!

Hi Gydell,

We are looking at Delta as well. For us it is 200,000 a piece and $200 each in fees. We have that many miles but do not want to part with them all at once. (it is business class though). We ended up booking 4 of our 5 nights at Marriott County Hall an hour ago (have to wait 10 days fro them to release July 4th). Got a room looking over the river at Big Ben!!! Basically we are checking Air Canada, Air France, Delta, North West and Virgin...probably going with Virgin. Still haven't decided for our night in Dover.

oh, and you should have booked the 6th!!! ;)

My brother is driving me and the kids to Atlanta. And picking us up when we get back. We are about four hours away.

Way to go!!

Just looking at the cost of the airfare, we are looking at possibily flying in the morning of the cruise.....

The Air Canada direct flight we are looking at arrives in Gatwick at 6:25 am.....that should give us 6+ hrs to get to the ship.....

Anyone else doing that?

We have our 'Disney Hotel' booked for the two days before the cruise as a fall back position

Hey, you never know!!!! It will be nice to watch the game on Friday this year and not in between stuff at WDW.

Enjoy your girls only cruise. You'll have a great time. Treat yourself to the spa.

Jason and I were talking about it and it would only be about two hours for us to drive. It's just convincing dad to drive to Atlanta, even if Jason is doing the driving. We could get Jason's parents to follow us and take our car back and then we wouldn't have to pay parking fees either.

It should be a fun trip!

We will probably take a car service to the airport. Check out staying the night before. Some of the hotels at the airport give free parking if you stay 1 night.
