North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Hi all

We have been a little slow to post to DISboards ... but TADsMommy (Karen), TADsDaddy (Dave) and TAD: Tiffany (18), Ashley (17) and David (15) will be joining the fun onboard the Wonder B2B Pacific Coast and Alaska.

I see many old friends and look forward to catching up with everyone - and many new friends I look forward to meeting onboard.

I have a cajillion pages to read. Please put us down for "everything". We will meet&greet, gift you all in fish extenders, play doortag, take group photos ... and anything else that someone comes up with.

We are so excited!! Canceled both January 7day Magic and June doubledip for this year so we could afford B2B Alaska!!

We are in DCL withdrawals, but it will be worth it.

I am going to post this same message to both boards. Don't want to miss out on anything for either cruise.

One more week of work - then one week off before our European trip! It will be weird going on a cruise with no pirate costume and no formal wear! But I am really looking forward to that trip - then I can concentrate more on this trip!

Georgie - Yes, I am again a woman of leisure - I have quit my job with the census (the 8 week job that turned into 6 1/2 months) to have a week off to get caught up with all the stuff at home before we leave for Europe. It will be a busy week!

Just off the May 5 Med cruise and was able to rebook this cruise onboard and save a bit. Interestingly, we are also doing the repo and when I checked that, I was better off staying with the price I already had. Seems the repo is really filling up!

-- Are you in the same category for both cruises? If so, I hope you were able to request the same stateroom for each cruise. If not - contact your T/A or DCL to see if it can be arranged. I had booked both cruises separately ... was able to eventually request the same stateroom. In my case, I was assigned a totally dfferent stateroom, but was still in the category and deck of my choice.

Yes, we are rebooked in the same category. My TA will move us to the rooms we originally had so that we can keep the same room for the repo and Alaska and won't have to pack up. Thanks for thinking of it!

Okay, while we are on a B2B mind-set ... what are people thinking of doing while in port at Vancouver?

1) Enjoying time on an empty ship
2) Spending a few hours of free time in Vancouver
3) Visiting a specific exhibit / destination whil n Vancouver
4) Waiting to see what DCL excursions are offered in Vancouver

We're not sure if we will be staying in Vancouver (post cruse).
