North Face Coats

I am 5'. I tried on the Northface Denali in the girls, boys, and ladies departments of Macy's a few weeks ago. The ladies XS was considerably larger across the body and shoulders than the girls L, but it was a bit shorter. The girls XL was too big. The boys jacket was cut way too big for me in the body in the large and medium, and the small was too small.

The girls large was the best fit for me. I bought one online because it was cheaper. Although I would have preferred the shorter length of the ladies XS, it was just too big.

When I layed them down on the floor at the store the adult was much trimmer through the body with the sleeves being slightly longer whic was good. My dd is 5'3 and very thin. I am perplexed even more now at what to get.....

Maybe you were comparing the girls XL to the ladies XS?

This is the best deal by far on North Face that I have found:

Click on the North Face For Sale on the bottom right corner.
When checking out put in coupon code SUPERSALE and you will get an additional 15% off the sale price plus click the free shipping option which takes a little longer to get to you but saves....

http://www.moosejawlowdown.com

Also, a word on the sizes: I wear a size 6 slim and am 5'7 and the Girls Youth XL is perfect (IMO not a big enough difference b/tw the adult and youth to justify the $50 difference in cost....)

Good Luck!

I don't know where you're from, but we have a NorthFace outlet up here in New York. You can get some pretty good deals there, and if you have AAA, there are often additional discounts when you shop.

Hey Kitty I'm in New york..Where is this outlet?? And any idea how much a mens Mcmurdo cost there? Thanks

The outlet I go to is located at Woodbury Commons. Its at the junction of Route 17 and Interstate 87 in Orange County, about an hour north of New York City. As far as outlets go, its fairly extensive and and has lots to offer. If you go, plan to spend the entire day! Hope you can make it there, I haven't shopped for coats since last spring's sales, so I really can't tell you what coats are going for now.

Oh I've been there .Although I haven't been there in ages ..I remember the jackets werent that much cheaper. I use to goto these "underground" warehouses for TNF jackets around 34th St. ..the prices were a steal..but I have not been able to find them since.THanks anyway

I could only find a boys Khumbu. No girls available.

We saw some North Face jackets at TJ Maxx yesterday for $24.99. DD never heard of them before so I guess they aren't "in" around here.

www.rei.com

In the very bottom right corner:

"Get REI Gearmail®
Sign up for our e-newsletter. New subscribers receive a coupon for 15% off one full-price item."

this coupon does not apply to The North Face products. I am looking for a North Face Deanli jacket for DD also. We went to REI yesterday to try them on. The ladies Medium and the kids Extra Large fit her the same. Needless to say we are going to get the kids size for half the price.

They did not have the color she wanted in her size yesterday so I am going to wait until Friday for the REI sale then order it online. I don't know if it's going to be on sale, but I figured I could wait two days to find out.

REI will ship for free to their stores, but in case you don't have an REI store near you or don't want to have to pick it up, you can order the Denali from www.rockcreek.com for the same price as REI including free shipping.

where are the outlets that you are talking about???

I just bought my DD 8 the denali thermal jacket in pink from Backcountry.com and that was about the cheapest online price that I could find....and I am a BARGAIN hunter. It was free shipping and no tax. I figure just saving the 1.00 off the reg. price of the jacket, plus saving the 9% sales tax was about the best that I was going to do. If anyone else finds the the Denali Thermal at a better savings PLEASE post it. If they are as nice and as warm as everyone says....Mom may have to buy herself one too!!:rotfl:

in today's paper I found coupons for Sports Authority...can be used online as well. One is for $10 of a $50 purchase, code TSAKLP and the other is for $25 of a $100 purchase, code TSAHGT. They carry both ladies and kids Denali jackets. There is even a ladies clearance color for $109.98, so $25 off that is a great price. Unfortunately the color is not the one DD wants...it is a white/gray combination. I headed over to the store today since there is one very close by instead of trying to order online.

Our Sports Authority will not let you use these coupons for North Face. They don't say it on them, but they do say they have to right to limit items or quantities. They have a list at the store of items that are not available -- our also includes all performance gear, etc...

They lost a lot of my business when they started that stuff -- I'll drive farther and go to Dick's.

Got a girl's denali for 58.50 (plus $$6 shipping) at sportsbasement.com!!! My daughter wanted black and I found it!

Used a 10% off code that I googled and found! Gotta take the kids to school and get to work so I don't have time to find the code for you...sorry!

Colors are limited!

Good luck!

thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! I got one for DD for $64.50 shipped:woohoo: I hate paying full price for anything...this made my day!!

the 10% code is GoBears1

wahhhh...Sports Basement just sent me an email saying the order was cancelled because they are sold out  I guess I will just order from REI:headache:

where is that store?

go to tjmaxx.com and do store locator. I've seen a lot of NorthFace at the ones around here recently.

I ordered from backcountry.com on Tuesday night, got free shipping (orders over 50 I think) and it was delivered early today. Great service, I'll definately use them again!

What a bummer.
