Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oo

unlike my brave friend barb:thumbsup2 who not only doesn't hang on tight but; raises her arms on the drop:scared: ; i've got my legs braced on the sides hoping they'll act as a jake-break jik.;)

Speaking of not holding on...remember I told you I took a pic as we crested the hill........

Ripsaw1.jpg

(Sorry a little off center. I was second or third and not in the front seat. I had to "look around" person in front of me :guilty: )

.....THEN I kept my hands up in the air! ;)

you are our resident wild woman:thumbsup2 ; whether brave or just not old enough to value your life and limb i cannot say:laughing: jk.

that is some shot! did you have a waterproof camera?

I am not sure how I feel about the seat belts on Ripsaw Falls
It never bothered me that they werent on there
But this year is the first time my 7 yr old is going on it, so I guess
speaking for my kids safety, that is ok.

BTW, I did go on Ripsaw Falls all by myself in the boat before
My son was too young to go on so me and the hubby had to switch
and it was Oct and not too crowded and I had the whole ride to myself:)

I did...but i don't like them. Being concerned with the quality of the picture prints you get, I'm am looking into getting one of those "bags" (waterproof) that you can put your camera in and take pix thru the bag.....saw pix on cruise board from underwater using one.... ...they were GREAT!! Didn't even look like 'underwater'....so, I'm "shopping" around for one of those..... being Ry's first cruise and all, I really want to be sure to get some good, quality pix underwater w/ him.... :thumbsup2

I toyed with the idea, again the pessimist in me figured if there was a way to screw it up - i would. Wonder if they guarantee the camera's safety?

Know Ritz camera sells the hard plastic housings for certain brands; haven't seen them for either of our fujis.

will say we've used both the kodak & fuji underwater disposable; both are decent if the water is clear...better color/clarity in the pics from the fuji.

again, i'll veer OT:rolleyes1 i'm not really sure what the bags look like:confused3 if you find a pic please post.

I wondered the same thing....about the "waterproofness" of it....however, I will buy one and 'test' it at home. I'll put a piece of paper in it and try it a sinkful of water. Believe me, I will run all kinds of tests before i put our camera in the ocean w/ it :thumbsup2 I will probably get it from the camera shop here...I DID happen to see one at AAA for $8 (you have to walk THRU travel store to get into the place ;) :rotfl: ) Asked receptionist how well they worked....she didn't even know they carried 'em! I saw on in a TR on cruise board...will see if I can find it..... I've used both Kodak and Fuji...hate results w/ both :guilty:

**Sorry to go OT.... :rolleyes1

So Barb...are you guys going to move to "The City Beautiful" or somewhere else in FL?

I really didn't want to answer, but this thread is SO hijacked...why not ...at this point.... :lmao:

DH wants to move near his brother in New Smyrna Beach area...but, I think I'd like more near the parks. After all, when I FINALLY get to live there, why still drive 2 hours, right :confused3 I was actually thinking of being close enuf to the "motherland" to get a part time job there :scratchin .....would have to stick w/ off season "enjoyment" times tho....can't get a room EVERY time  So, so far, we haven't hit the 'big' lottery...so, the 10 year plan stays set in place....(btw, didja know you and our last conversation about this was inspiration for my last ticker? :rotfl2: )

I agree...why would you want to drive 2 hours on I-4 no less to go to the parks. Hopefully you guys can find something near my area and hopefully the housing market will have come down some by then.

I helped inspired the ticker?????? COOL!

Yep....this house will be paid off in 3-4 years...but don't want to move Bubba outta skool at (pre)teenager age! So, we'll plunk money into savings and college and wait for graduation...Class of 2017~ :lmao:

The idea is to move and take early retirement....well, not work full time anyway.... Just work enough to have some extra money for bills and playing...in other words, when we move there, we want to ENJOY it....not WORK fulltime to live there....(I could stay in PA and work fulltime :headache: ) I think the market will be back to seller's market by then, and we're already going to make 100% off this house...so, I think we'll be good!

I can't believe they put in lapbars! The most fun part was going up and then getting big airtime going down! :joker: SO much fun! Ugh they ruined the ride now...at least I rode it at LEAST 5 times (or so) in the 5 days I was there, so that was good. I still love those signs such as "crossing" and "double crossing". The "overlooked scenery" never fails for a laugh either...

Newbie to the DIS! However, my mom has an account, and I did my TR on that....will post a link ASAP! :p
