Non-Park Restaurant for Anniversary Dinner

My DH and I are going to WDW for our 10th anniversary. I'm trying to decide where to book our anniversary dinner. I'm looking for for some place that is romantic and outside the parks. So far I've read suggestions for the following:

Jiko (good, but we ate there for our 9th anniversary)
Victoria and Albert's (too expensive for us)
California Grill
Artist Point
Narcoosee's

Any other suggestions that fit the bill?

DH and I ate at Artist Point last week and really enjoyed it. We plan on eating there again when we go for our Anniversary trip in December.

Ask for a window seat at the podium when you check in

Also on our website, we have reviews of Citricos, Bluezoo, and Yachtsman Steakhouse. We've been to Narcoossees, but not within the past year. The food there is okay, but we have a few problems with it. The atmosphere is very noisy, and the food sits out on the counter near the entrance. There are lots of lights over this counter, and, on a hot summer's night, you can see the bugs coming in from outside, to hover around these lights. Yech...

As far as the sheer quality of the culinary experience, if Victoria & Albert's is out of your budget, I'd recommend California Grill. After that, my secondary recommendation would be Roy's, off property on West Sand Lake Road. The food there is smokin'

We went to Artist Point for our 25th anniversary in April and loved it. DS and DDIL went to California Grill and they weren't as happy. They loved their food, but felt the atmosphere was a little louder and more "frantic" than they wanted.

Are you on the dinning plan? If not give the new Italian place in the Swan a try. Il Mulino is it's name and we enjoyed a great meal there this past weekend.

I always recommend Citrico's at the Grand Floridian....we have had some terrific meals there, consistently good with great service...

I like Artist pointe as well and we ate there our last trip and had a wonderful meal.

I have not done Victoria and Albert's in years, you know it was one of those things, did that, check it off, and we have not gone back.. Maybe we should revisit it again, people do love it.

Are you willing to drive??

In noticing that budget may be a concern than this suggestion may be moot but if not then I would recommend driving to Tampa (about 75 minutes outside of the world and dining at Bern's Steakhouse.

If you have a hankering for a great piece of beef along with a nice glass of wine, this will be the place. The service, food, ambience and overall experience makes this place well worth the drive and expense.

Have eaten there 3x and would do so again in a heartbeat.

Citrico's or Artist Point would be my choice. I love Cali Grill, but it can get pretty noisy in there and it's not very romantic IMO. We've always had great food and service at these 3 places.

Not really since we will have just come from north of Tampa (visiting in-laws in Florida) to get to WDW. We really want to stay on property for this dinner, but I'll keep Bern's in mind for future visits with the in-laws. They'd love a good steakhouse, especially my father-in-law. Thanks for the recommendation.

So is there general dining at V&A's? All I see on AllEars is menus for the Chef's Table, which at $150pp + wine is what is out of our budget. If there is less expensive general dining I'd be interested in a menu as well as the prices. Anybody?

I can't help with the menu sorry, but friends of ours ate their last week and it was $115 + wine for the regular dining. They have booked to go back (they loved it!) in December and have been told it will be $125 then. Hope this helps.

Well that's certainly an acceptable price. I was worried because all I saw was $150+ pp for the Chef's Table, which is a bit too much for us. I'll keep hoping somebody posts a menu then, although I bet their menu changes frequently.

The menu does change pretty much daily, and it's amazing. I've been three times now.

If you do decide to go that route, I really must recommend (If you're a passholder) that you get yourself a Disney Dining Experience card - you'll get 20%, including the alcohol.
