My husband and parents and I are going to Disney next April, and while my husband loves it, he can find the parks to be *slightly* hectic at times (which I thrive in lol!)....so I would like to find some "adult friendly non park activities" to do....

What do you spend your time doing AWAY from the parks in WDW?

Visit other resorts. We love to go to AK and watch the animals. We go to CBR and lay in the hammocks.

DW and I have done multiple different things at Disney that do not include the parks. Some of them are:
Play tennis.
Take a bike ride around Fort Wilderness campground.
Take a boat ride from DTD to Dixie Landings and back.(I do not call it Port Orleans, will always be a different resort to me)
Take a couple of golf clubs and balls, chip and putt around the putting green at one of the golf clubs.
Tour the other resorts.
Pool hop.
Tour DTD.
Have an after dinner whirlpool.
Listen to the musicians at GF Lobby, Port Orleans and/or Dixie Landings Lounges, or over in front of the House of Blues.
Sit out by one of the quite pools and enjoy a drink.
Take in a movie.

Grab a drink and sit on the lounge chairs around the lake at the Poly and enjoy the firework show. Walk around DTD. Campfire singalong/ movie at the campgrounds. Walk around the Boardwalk. Miniature golf. Hotel hop. AKL is a fun place to hang for a few hours since they have free programs. Get some ice-cream and the Beach Club.

If it is afternoon, DH loves his naps. LOL! I sit by the pool and read. We like to play mini golf. In the evening go to a lounge have drinks and some food. Crew Cup at YC is good for both. We also do the monorail crawl and grab a drink at the resorts, maybe some food. This is really great during the Holidays. Decorations are impressive!

We're going to play mini golf at Fantasia Gardens, and we have a nice dinner planned in a non-disney hotel. We may try to go see the Hangover 2 when it comes out (it opens during our trip) at downtown disney...

DGF and I like to run around our resort. Our favorite to run around was POFQ and PORS. Nice scenery. It makes having a drink at the pool even more relaxing....
