Nomad lounge

Nomad lounge - we want to try here but just want drinks ,not food . Is that frowned upon ?

It's perfectly fine to just get drinks there since it's a lounge and only has a reduced menu anyway. There's nothing better than grabbing a cocktail or two there to get out of the sun (or rain) for a bit in the afternoon and relaxing while the world goes by. I would recommend the bread service there though because it's so good but just ordering drinks is more than okay.

Not at all. Many people only order drinks at Nomad.

Most people do drinks only like Oga's so you'd totally fit in with just drinks. You'll still see people order off the limited food menu but it's not the main reason people are going to Nomad's

The churros at Nomad Lounge are very good If you decide to order food-the bread service is also a great shareable iyem.

it is fine to just order drinks.

We have been there many times and always gotten drinks and no food.
Never been an issue.
Enjoy! Especially the outside sitting near the river.

Planning on going to Nomad Lounge for the first time this summer. In case we have our choice of seating, what's better -- inside or outside?

We enjoy both, but sitting outside on the deck overlooking the river and watching the character boats float by is pretty special. There aren't a ton of tables out there though and they go pretty fast. We've ended up inside before and really enjoyed reading all of the quotes on the walls. Honestly, it's hard not to have a great time at Nomad - inside or out.

We much prefer the outside if the weather is nice. We love looking over the river. If its really hot and humid, inside is better.

If I'm there alone or with a couple of friends I usually sit at the bar. With a group, outside unless it's super hot/humid or torrential rain

Every time we go there (which is at least once every trip), we wind up spending more time there than we intended. You might wind up eating something anyway.

I recommend sitting outside and ordering a Tempting Tigress.

Nomad Lounge is a must for us every time we visit AK and we always sit at the bar and order cocktails and split a bread service.

We've enjoyed Nomad lounge several times, and both times we sat outside next to the river. We usually order drinks and a snack. There are comfy seats, couches (if memory serves) and small bistro style tables. You can oder food I suppose but it's essentially a bar.

They definitely have food, it's my usual for lunch at AK, but you have to be into the small plates version of dining.
