NOBODY IS MORE SURPRISED THAN US! GKTW alumni return! 10/21 MOVING DAY!!

Judy, I stopped by this morning because I was thinking of you. I didn't get a chance to read everything but please know I am thinking of and praying for your family as well as for the other needs posted here. We had a long fun day yesterday (Chiefs Game) and are rushing off for an Neurology appt. today. Tessas Dr is being nice enough to meet us on a Saturday.

Go Chiefs! ;)

Just a quick note to say I "THINK" Rachel is slightly better. It is very difficult to tell, are we just getting used to the "new" Rachel or is she in fact improving? It is tough to know. She still has so many symptoms that are concerning, I would appreciate your continued prayers. Thank you to those of you who let me know you are here and that you are praying for my family. Saw Lisa's GI doc on Friday, took care of a couple of issues. Everything else we did Friday was routine.

Spoke to both Gail and Billy yesterday, he sounded good. :goodvibes Love them both to pieces!!!

LOVED the pic of Jeremy, I hope the tooth fairy was good to him!

Praying for Tessa, looking forward to a good report.

Jennie,:hug:, I pray you feel better!! YOU and Kaity might just need to plan a road trip to NC to be cheered up and pampered a bit! It IS hard to be home with a little one who doesn't always understand where Daddy went.

SO many needs and concerns, my prayers continue! PLEASE know I am reading, I just don't have a lot of extra energy/time at the moment. In addition to the onslaught of the extra appts, Lisa's new Speech Therapist has intensified her "homework" (which I am GLAD for); however, that is taking another hugh chunk of time. Add to that some research I have been doing, (with Gail's assistance), to help Rachel and I don't have very much free time and typically when I do is the time the DIS takes its nightly break. This morning, instead of being inaccessible at 4ish, as is typical, I could access it at 4:10, but not at 4:45 when I was ready to post.

Thank you again for being here for my family and each other!!

Go Chiefs! ;)

Where are they going??? :confused3:lmao::confused3...(I couldn't resist)! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Friends, as I was praying just now my heart was convicted that I never answered this post from my friend Chiara. I am so thankful He saved her life and she has a BEAUTIFUL new daughter, Sami! They will be going back to Florida soon and as you see, 10 weeks postpartum with an open wound is NOT a good thing at any point in time, especially not when you are going back to DISNEY with three children, one with special needs! Chiara is a hard working Mom, with a FULL plate always...PLEASE take a moment and lift her up! Thank you!!! :goodvibes

Oh Gosh Judy that is stressful but may be a blessing too.

My OB retired in February with no notice and I was almost 6 months pregnant,my new OB has been a god send. I saw him almost weekly and twice weekly for the last 3 months. He also saved me during my C-section. I had some complications due to scarring and then he has also been seeing me for the last 10 weeks post partum due to an open wound. I honestly don't think I would of received this level of care with my old OB and I did love him but My new OB has my undying gratitude. So what I thought was going to be horrible has been wonderful and at least you know what is going on with Lisa's doctor.

You are in my prayers.

Aw Judy thank you for thinking of me. I am finally healed with the exception of new skin forming. The wound is closed though. I will take the prayers though as I have one other issue we are dealing with but thankfully it is nothing life threatening or all that seriousj.

Disney will be interesting though as I haven't gotten all my energy back. Continued prayers.

I am so glad to read this morning that Rachel may be showing some improvement.

Continuing to pray for all those who requested prayer.

Thinking of you guys and praying that Rachel really is improving.
:grouphug::grouphug:

Chiara praying for your needs as well.

Praise God! I proclaim that Rachel IS getting better and you are not just hoping that you are seeing improvement.

Checking in to let you know your family are always in my thoughts. So glad to hear that Lisa's Cardiology apt went well. I am also glad to hear that Rachel "MAY" have some improvement. Little steps are definately still steps:) I hope that the news you recieved on Lisa's other apts isn't too bad. I will continue those prayers for her and you as always.

I can really relate to you on her cardiologist leaving. We just got word this week that Ty's Urologist is leaving. This dr has been a Godsend for Ty. And he is the ONLY reason I think I have not lost my mind since he had the surgery. We are waiting to find out who he will see or if we will need to follow him. We aren't sure where he is going just yet. I just don't know if we can afford to travel like that.

If you could toss up some prayers for Ty tomorrow they are doing another muscle biopsy in the OR. We are desperately praying that we get answers from this for him as he seems to be progressing in some things and that is not good.

Hope that you are having a relaxing weekend, glad to hear that you think you see some improvement in Rachel, even if it is just a little it is a step in the right direction. Hope that you have a good week coming up and nothing too stressful. I have a job interview tomorrow morning, so hopefully I will have a new job, because this not working is driving me crazy and isn't helping with the bills at all.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

Saying prayers and crossing fingers and toes that Rachel is on the way to feeling better.

Hugs and prayers to all that need them!! :grouphug:

Madeline

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

I am beyond behind and I KNOW I am going to forget/miss something. I know the majority of you understand and forgive me. Thank you!!!

Sending prayers that all is well.

Praying you are well. :goodvibes

Thinking of you. :goodvibes Let us know how Rachel is doing when you are up to it.

Sending happy thoughts and prayers your way. I hope you have had a peaceful Sunday.

I am always praying for your family. How difficult to lose a doctor who has meant so much to you all. Praying your appointments this week are going well.

As always, I am in awe of what you do in a day. Praying for your family. :grouphug:

I am sorry yesterday was so tough and all the news wasn't good. :grouphug: I hope today is better.

Judy, I read this quote today and thought of you. "Really great people make you feel that you, too, can become great". You are a really great person. :goodvibes
So glad Billy's surgery went well and Annabelle has been potty trained. :thumbsup2

It is quiet over here today I hope everything is okay. Praying for you.

She deserves this. Judy, hope you have had a good day.
I hope Billy is doing well. :goodvibes

You re quite the cheerleader and supporte. THANK YOU!

Emma, Always great to see you! Praying all is well!!!

Thoughts and prayers with everyone. princess:

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.:grouphug:

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
I know we all appreciate your thoughts and prayers Michele! :goodvibes Right back to you!
Love the picture of Lisa and her doctor. I'm glad there's been no change in her status.

I will be seeing Brenda on Monday and we will give each other a big hug and pretend you are in the middle of it.

Judy, we leave in three days and I have a lot to accomplish (since I lost most of my Saturday with an emergency visit to the vet for Cookie). I just want you to know that I will be keeping you all close in heart and in my prayers while I am gone.

Praying that Rachel's appointment gave you some answers today.

I hope you are having a BLAST KATHY!!! I am looking forward to my Kathy and Brenda sandwich hug tomorrow, I can feel the love, Thank you! :flower3:

Hi Judy, checking in to see how you and your precious family are doing before we head to Orlando for a couple weeks. I so wish that you didn't have to part ways with Lisa's cardiologist. So sorry for the stress that may result but thankfully God has you covered for even this bump in the road...

Praying for sweet Rachel...
Thank you for your prayers Brenda, so happy you are in the World for a few weeks, what an amazing time!! I hope your visit with Kathy is fabulous! :goodvibes

I sound like a broken record, I just want everyone to know that they are always in my thoughts and my prayers. I hope that everyone is enjoying the last if summer and is ready for another fun year of school.

I am so glad to read this morning that Rachel may be showing some improvement.

Continuing to pray for all those who requested prayer.

I hope Lisa's appointments go well today.

I'm glad you got a chance to see the doc for one last appointment and say goodbye.

JJ is still having tics that affect his whole body. He is not choking near as much. The newest one involves his legs and he can't stand or walk when that one comes on. I'm not liking that most of our house is either hard wood or ceramic tile.

We are seeing some improvement of the tics. They are lasting shorter periods of time, and many of the newer tics are much more traditional type tics I think of when I think of a tic. I think the calcium in the morning and magnesium at night, in addition to the doc taking him off the OCD med have helped. Today his OCD was running rampant.

Got a phone call this morning that there is an opening for him for an OT evaluation next week! Certainly answer to prayers. He goes back to the neurologist again next week too. Grumpy will be driving us there so I can be in the back with him. Grumpy comes home this weekend! He is ready.

Hoping and praying the hand picked docs are just as fabulous or more than the original. How blessed Lisa was to have her doc for so long. Praying for him as well.

I hope Rachel is feeling better. I'm sorry this is progressing so slowly. It's got to be frustrating for you all.

Dear Michelle, I really appreciate with all that you have going on with JJ that you take time to come by and let me know you are reading. I just am so far behind..and it is a comfort to know you TRULY understand...but I am sorry you have to! :grouphug::grouphug: I am thrilled pT eval got moved up and you have Grumpy to help you! I am sure yo are glad to have him home! :cheer2:

Continued prayers for you and your family Judy!

Yeah! Glad Annabelle succeeded in becoming potty trained!! James on the other hand has decided he's happy in his diapers. Can't even get him to pick a toy or something he wants. Oh well he'll do it when he's ready and I don't need the stress right now.

Update on my SFIL: He was transferred to a rehab center and was supposed to be released Sunday but for some reason he was sent home today. :confused3 We've already had 3 phone calls from my MIL saying she can't get him up (out of a chair, out of bed, etc). So we did the only thing we could do.... We called my FIL :rotfl2: (they've been divorced since my DH was 7). He lives 10 mins away compared to our 30 - 45 mins depending on traffic conditions. He was happy to go help since he likes my SFIL but not my MIL. I know that was probably mean but he only had to go once because she managed to get him up the other 2 times after that. But of course she had to call us complaining. I swear she's not happy unless she's complaining about something. But I'm glad to report my SFIL is doing better. He is on oxygen due to his lung problems and is hopefully going to stop smoking.

Now an update on Baby X (that's what DH is calling it.) I had my Dr. appointment on Wednesday and the heart rate sounded great (I actually got tears, I love that sound). She said everything sounds good. We are 16 weeks!!! My next ultra sound is on September 6 and we'll hopefully find out what it is then!!

And last but not least.... Jeremy has lost another tooth!!! It became loose Thursday night and less than 24 hours later it was ready to come out!! He can't wait to see how much the Tooth Fairy leaves him this time!!

Oh no about Lisa's Dr. I hope your able to have a meeting with him before he leaves and can tell you who would be a good choice to take over Lisa's care. I also like the idea of a meeting of the Dr.'s so you and Lisa are comfortable with them. I know you've been through a lot with yours and I understand how hard it is. After on of our miscarriages (that my Dr. cried over, she was my ob before we ever had Jeremy) I was told she was retiring. I cried for days after because I didn't know if I'd find some one I trusted as much as her. We have gotten lucky and have a great ob now! Now I've told my kids Dr. he's not allowed to retire any time soon!! He laughed and said he doesn't plan on going anywhere right now.

Thanks! It was a lot of fun! They can't wait to do it again in a couple weeks when we go back and get to build El Chupacabra (also from Planes). I'm doing well. Still dealing with a little morning sickness here and there but thankfully I have some medicine the Dr. gave me that helps once the symptoms start. I try not to take anything unless I really have to.

I'll try to post more pictures but sometimes I get busy doing everything else I don't take pictures. Really need to get better at that!!

I was going through all of past Disney trips and pulling some pictures out to create a Disney Memories photo book and I thought I'd share this picture of Jeremy from his fist visit to Disneyland. He was only 5 weeks old! Made me cry to see the difference between then and now. :sad1:

And here he is now!!

I'll share more when I can get them uploaded.

Continued prayers for Rachel! Hopefully she's well enough when you go to Florida. You all need it after everything that's been going on. :grouphug:

Anytime!! I figured you needed some smiling pictures of some pretty cute kids. :lmao: It was a lot more work than I realized it was going to be. At least I'll be prepared for the next one in a couple weeks.

OMG that is very scary! Poor Rachel!! Continued prayers! I hope the healing does start soon and is a fast recovery once it does start. :grouphug:

Judy continued prayers for Rachel. Hope your able to get some answers today.

Oh no! I'm crying for your sister tonight! :sad1: I fully understand the pain she's going through both emotionally and physically as I've also had numerous miscarriages. Only 1 of those do they think they know what caused it (and they've tested everyone of mine expect for the last one). I really hate some of the nasty comments that get said by some very insensitive people. Some of the worst one's came from my own sister and even my mom said some pretty hurtful one's (neither of them have ever had a miscarriage). Maybe she can try talking to her Dr. again and push for them to do testing (especially since her last one was so recent, that's why they tested my 2nd one, it was 8 months between miscarriages). I know different Dr.'s will do different things but sometimes they'll do more if pushed. Prayers for your sister and I really hope she can get answers and only surround herself with supportive people right now.

I am glad you aren't stressing James not being potty trained yet...there is a lot going on! I really appreciate your sunny, happy messages and sharing the babes with me. PRAYING this weekend settled down for all and the phone calls stopped about your SFIL!!! Praying the morning sickness is better!! :grouphug:

:cheer2: for the great news about Lisa's heart! I hate that she is having to change Doctors since someone who knows the whole history is invaluable. He looks like a really great guy, along with having been a great doctor for Lisa! Thoughts and prayers for him and his wife! Sadly I think there is going to be many, many more problems than already being reported about our new "affordable healthcare" system. :scared:

Sorry that Rachel still hasn't improved much, but so glad she got to go play her guitar! I know how much that means to her, and I'm sure it was therapeutic! :goodvibes

More thoughts and prayers for Rachel! Sorry to hear she has had no improvement yet! :worried: Thoughts and prayers for all the other situations also! Hope you have some answers soon. :thumbsup2

And great news for the praise report about Lisa and the antibiotics! :goodvibes

Sorry I haven't posted lately, but I have been reading along. Have been sending thoughts and prayers for your family and all of your situations, and especially for Rachel! :goodvibes I hope they were able to come up with some answers for you yesterday at her appointment!

Marv, the sheer fact you have posted here puts you FAR ahead of me! Thank you for being here. I am so sorry to have Dr. G leave, you are so right about him knowing all of Lisa's history...that is invaluable. AND he is a sweetheart. Reading your posts reminds we we have SO much to be thankful for!

Praise God! I proclaim that Rachel IS getting better and you are not just hoping that you are seeing improvement.

How wonderful to hear that there were no changes to Lisa's heart and the surgeries are still off in the future. I know that it was great to have some sunshine in the midst of the sadness in knowing that this may be the last time you see Dr. G. At least you know that you can call upon him in an emergency and he'll be there for you and Lisa.

I am sure that Rachel was happy that she was given the go-ahead to play her guitar even if it were for only a while. As Marv posted, I am sure that it was therapeutic for her.

Judy, I am so sad to hear that you are losing such a trusted part of the medical team that takes care of your family. I know how hard it can be and the shock that you feel when they tell you that they are moving/leaving. John had the same neurologist for almost twenty years and it was a blow when she told us that she was closing her practice.

It's wonderful to know that the doctors handpicked by Lisa's cardiologist will care for her. If he trusted them, you can too.

Praying for peace for you and Lisa and for Rachel!

Hoping that today was uneventful and restful for everyone. Hugs and prayers across the miles!

Just popping in to say Hey and that we're praying for you guys. Hope that you find answers to Rachel's problems today.
I am claiming healing as well my dear friend! I am so sorry John lost his trusted neurologist (I think I remember you sharing that). :grouphug: I really don't know what to do about the cardio, IF I thought Lisa could be stable for awhile, I would be happy to travel to see him. Charleston IS lovely! I hope YOU had a relaxing weekend! Or did you work all weekend??? I still need someone to paint my house if you run out to things to decorate!

Okay, so trying to catch up by combining all of the quotes together is not my smartest idea...I am just so far behind, but you all say such wonderful things to lift me up and you have your own needs, I just want you to know I APPRECIATE YOU ALL!!!! I am sorry I can't answer more of you right now. PLEASE don't hold it against me.

Judy I am praying that Rachel is improving today and that the apt went well. Also prayers for your family. I am also praying for those who need it. I apologise I cannot keep up with who is who. I have tried but it just doesn't work;)

We found out what was going on with Ty. He had a uti that caused him to almost pass out. He is doing much better now.

I am so sorry to hear of Rachels concussion. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this busy month of appointments. Happy belated BIRTHDAY to Christian:)

I am so sorry Ty is losing his urologist! I TRULY think with this affordable healthcare mandate more docs will be changing where/how they work. LIsa also has lost her ENT in early July and her pediatric ophthalmologist i late July...I am dreading getting these notices for more of her docs...I hope that doesn't happen!

I pray the muscle biopsy goes well tomorrow and gives the answers you all deserve! :grouphug:

Hope that you are having a relaxing weekend, glad to hear that you think you see some improvement in Rachel, even if it is just a little it is a step in the right direction. Hope that you have a good week coming up and nothing too stressful. I have a job interview tomorrow morning, so hopefully I will have a new job, because this not working is driving me crazy and isn't helping with the bills at all.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.
I pray HARD that you get the job tomorrow, I know how you need it!
Saying prayers and crossing fingers and toes that Rachel is on the way to feeling better.

Hugs and prayers to all that need them!! :grouphug:

Madeline
God bless Madeline, you are such an encouragement to me and so many others!

I sound like a broken record, I just want everyone to know that they are always in my thoughts and my prayers. I hope that everyone is enjoying the last if summer and is ready for another fun year of school.

You do NOT sound like a broken record, you sound like someone who cares what happens to all of us on this thread and you want us all to know it! I, for one, am GLAD when you log in and let us know you are praying! :grouphug::goodvibes:goodvibes:grouphug: When does school start for ya'll??
