We pinned it! :cool2:

Great names. :thumbsup2 Now I'm gonna want to plan a maiden cruise... :sad2:

I know- I'd LOVE to be on one of those inaugural cruises! Of course I'm not sure I could even afford a deposit on the 2011 one since we'll be paying the balance on THIS cruise at the end of the year.

Though I'm anxious to take a ride on the new ship(s), I wish they were doing new itineraries also. Although...come to think of it...I haven't actually done the 'normal' Western or Eastern. Each of those have been/will be 'tweeked' (a double-dip Western with Costa Maya and an Eastern with Tortola). Hmmmmmmmm.........:scratchin

.

Me too... (unless Nan kidnaps me... )

I'll do cruise #2... let them find out if the blenders work at the bars before I get stuck out at sea...

Not me...I'd rather wait until a new ship gets the bugs worked out of it before I sail on it.

Any "bugs" left on the ship after the shakedown cruises will not ever be noticed. :thumbsup2 You can be fairly certain that it will not sink so anything else is so minor it's not worth being concerned over. :cool2:

So I finally had my first cruise dream...

I don't remember much of it, but one part that sticks out in my mind is "We missed the deck party!"

You can book a room now (room only, no packages) but they'll charge you the deposit at the peak rate for THIS year and then adjust the price after the rates get published (usually August). I already booked rooms for our January 2010 trip at POFQ.
I'm anticipating that we'll fly down the night before the cruise and stay on Disney property and then take the Disney bus to the pier. That's what we did for the PC cruise. I will NOT be booking a value room though, since the shuttles to the pier don't leave from value resorts. We had that problem last time, staying at Pop Century.

Thanks for the info - we want to do a package so I guess I should ask if anyone knows how far out you can book a package?

We will be coming down on Wed before as hubby's birthday is the Friday before we cruise (would love for them to do the birthday at the park free day thing again next year :) ) but we will stay in a value resort again most likely - what we did for the PC cruise was take the ME back to the airport and hop a cruise bus from there - it was easy enough doing it that way but I would never want to have to go on the busses to another resort to catch a cruise bus - you were braver than me :) The other thing I liked is I could go anytime(had to schedule the time with ME) I wanted back to the airport and did not have to wait on the resort pick up for the cruise.

I know they won't be out for awhile, however I'll ask anyway.

When you all think the excursions list for each port will be listed on the DCL website??

Anybody remember how far in advance they were listed for the first Transatlantic??

We'll be joining you on this cruise. We're in the cheap seats.

Melissa (33) and Dan (34) from Pepperell, MA

This will be our first Disney cruise. We are hoping to go to Disneyland Paris afterwards.

Apparently, I can't post a picture until I have at least 10 posts.

Welcome! Have fun at DLP; I'd love to go there too but I'll be in school and really can't take more time. I've heard that their Haunted Mansion is a whole lot scarier than ours!

Welcome! So....do nine short post telling us about yourselves and/or your travel adventures...then you'll be good to go! :thumbsup2

Morning or I guess it is really afternoon...I just booked a 3 night cruise in August so that we can try out the lesser categories :) We have only traveled in 1 category 4 and I keep thinking of trying 2 category 11's. This should help us make a decision. I finally paid off the creditcard from the bathroom remodel and am going to start sticking $ into the savings account to pay off the cruise. I am going to hold the $ until Nov/Dec and pay it in one big chunk then. Of course I also need to pay for our trips to San Francisco/Disneyland in April, Hawaii in May, and Disneyworld in August....I think we travel too much sometimes!
